Your table will be booked for:
1 hour 30 minutes for parties of up to 2;
2 hours for parties of up to 4;
2 hours 30 minutes for parties of up to 6;
3 hours for parties of 7+.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

We look forward to welcoming you at The Bull Highgate! All tables are held for a max of 15 minutes, so if you are running late please call us to let us know. All tables outside are subject to the wonderful British weather, so please be prepared for this accordingly.

The back garden closes at 9 PM, so please be aware that the last bookings we are able to offer for this area are at 6 PM for the parties of 6+ and 6:30 PM for the smaller groups.

We will try, where we can to accommodate specific table requests, but cannot guarantee specific table allocation, especially at peak times.

Really poor service, very slow and food has gone downhill

Samantha was absolutely lovely and very attentative. The staff were all super however, one did clear my diner's plates before I had finished eating... My husband didn't get vegetables with his meal but other than that, the food was good and reasonably priced. My porchetta was really tasty and plentiful. The wine (and cocktails) were good too!

Menu was very short and due to what we were told was a busy lunchtime period (Father’s Day, so understandable and predictable) various items unavailable. The fried fish was soggy and accompanied by a pointless spoonful of mushy peas along with a very strange curry dip. None of the food was hot when served. The table had been reserved and so we could have been contacted in advance and told of the reduced menu allowing us to choose to make alternative plans.

All of the staff are so well-managed, they all behave in a cheerful proactive way. Amazing manners, incredible service, and the Sunday roasts were amazing.

We arrived at our booking time 6.15 pm. To be informed that there were no roast potatoes, chicken, or pork. You must imagine our disappointment. Our lovely waitress was honest. It looked like we were going to chips and roast beef... Then I suggested why can't the chef par boil some potatoes, and they roast in no time in a hot oven. Our drinks arrived with fabulous news. The chef is going to do my suggestions, and it would take around 20 minutes. Yes, we waited patiently, and we all were served with fresh roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and beef. It was a delicious Sunday roast. The Bull staff didn't disappoint us. The normal chef was on holiday, and the temporary one stepped up.

The food here is always amazing and they don't have any issues dealing with allergies. Compliments to the chef. It was a bit cold outside but that's the British weather for you, can't be helped

Service was excellent, mushroom starter was exceptional and the roast beef were very good.

One of my neighberhood favourites but things are going wrong too frequently. On this visit though, it all seemed to fall apart. -Wrong drinks -Wrong starter -Medium rare burger delivered as well done - Spent more time waiting around than eating. I hope the lovely folks at the Bull get it back on track.

4 of us for dinner celebrating 2 birthdays and an engagement. We attend regularly as the location and ambience are attractive. The starters although a limited list, arrived on time and were tasty. Second courses were steak, fish and chicken Kiev. The steak was excellent. The fish was well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately the chicken Kiev was just a piece of fried chicken covered with breadcrumbs with no filling, as expected in view of the course. We had to wait for almost one hour for the second course. We had finished a bottle of Prosecco in the meantime. We had not been warned about the delay. Staff (with one exception) were apologetic and this was reflected in the final bill. This is not usual practice in this restaurant and may not stop us going back. Yet, polite communication regarding the delay and the reason for it (as paying clients) would have been appreciated.
