Sat in the new extension part rather than original pub,our table was 12.30 so quiet when arrived but filled up as time went on. Staff polite and attentive, soup was tasty and hot, garlic bread with cheese nicely done and hot as well. Roast beef and turkey dinners very nice, which included large yorkshire pud and pig in blanket along with enough roast spuds and something a bit different a cheese and leak soft rosti?, only had one dessert the crumble( could have done with more custard for size of crumble dish but my friend who had it said it was ok as he couldn't finish it all, had coffee to finish off with which thought good value for size of cup ( only £2.50) All in all for a first visit very satisfied will be back again to try something different in the future

Couldn’t have been worse if you tried. £15 for a chicken platter which wouldn’t have even filled my 1yr old son. One chicken piece two small wings tiny dry bbq chicken piece. Missed the onion rings. Cold reheated beans . Starters were vile . Steak was ok but the scampi undercooked and the garlic mushrooms wouldn’t have fed them my dog they were vile. Dessert missing icecream the other dessert didn’t even come so we cancelled. It was empty for food now we know why but it was appalling and first place I’ve came out after a three course meal and been hungry . Terrible allround

Called in lunchtime. Warm, friendly greeting. Service very good and quick. Good selection of food well priced. Food was hot and really good. Will definitely be back and will recommend.

We live up the rd not longed moved up here and class this pub as our local . We always enjoy our food and service in this pub which is very good and we will continue to visit .

First time visiting here for over 20 years food & service great nice young couple just taken over doing a sterling job good luck to them both I will definitely be back

Went for lunch on Saturday and it was amazing. The food was excellent, staff couldn’t have been more courteous and the pub was lovely. Can highly recommend the garlic mushroom and Stilton burger. It was delish!

Hmmm, my last visit was pre Covid and it was pretty poor then as the place was empty and there was only two of us for lunch which ended up a disaster. I always try to give a venue a second chance and I realise they are /were short staffed on a bank holiday Monday. A big shout out to the young lady behind the bar who served us well with drinks but the main meals (Fish especially had obviously been hanging about before we finally got it served to the table). I doubt we/I will be returning any time soon which is a pity as it is a really nice place. Usually our family all have a sweet but Palace were playing Man U and we sensed a big Palace win and the thought off waiting another 45 minutes for the dessert to arrive was just too much. Palace won BTW 4-0.
