The Buck Hotel is a converted restaurant that is extremely versatile in the options it offers patrons. Here, there are three distinct dining areas guests can choose from. The first is a spacious deck that is ideal for when the weather is nice. The second is the tavern, which fits the ideal sports bar atmosphere. This is where guests should go if they want to grab a quick bite, drink a cold beer and listen to a live band. The main dining area at The Buck Hotel is known as The Fireside, and is the main dining area that significantly more elegant and is best for a intimate date night.

My husband and I went to The Buck for my birthday and, as always, it was a wonderful experience! Our server, Ryan, was terrific and the food? The food is always amazing! I had the steamed lobster and my husband had the fried shrimp and scallops… he won’t get shrimp or scallops anywhere else but The Buck!

Our wait person, Sam, was marvelous. I had requested a quiet area for our party of 6 and the Hotel granted our request. The food was very good and reasonable, except for a "Summer Special" the Lobster Nacho. The problem----99% nacho chips and less than 1 % lobster! The lobster that was there was dry and had no taste. I did not complain to the wait person because I did not want to cause a scene and because we were the last ones in the room....

We liked everything BUT, the $11 charge for 6 Hawaiian rolls is too much. And the surcharge for using a credit card? Unacceptable. Who walks around with a couple hundred dollars in their pocket for dinner? Come on! This is just greed, pure and simple!

On a return visit to the Buck Hotel, we were seated as soon as we got there on a Friday night. We opted for the window enclosed terrace. Drinks came quickly. NE Clam Chowder came out lukewarm and send back for heat. I ordered a Crabmeat stack that took quite a while but was a delicious dish. My 1.5 lb lobster was delicious but took 3 tries to have a hot dish. Drawn butter, fried eggplant and asparagus were cooked perfectly. My wife ordered twin Lobster Tails and asked for the grilled. They were but again the hot problem, took another try and they were still moist and good. Dessert was on the house (TY) and a Rich Chocolate cake was eaten over 2 days, Tiramisu cake was a take on a classic and delicious.

Way overpriced for what we received. The food was good but definitely tiny portions for what they charged. Then they charged me extra to use my credit card. It is understandable that it costs the merchant more to accept a credit card but don’t be tacky and charge the customer for it. Build it into your cost. The steak frittes was about 6 pre-sliced cuts of meat for $36. I could get a 8 oz dry aged ribeye for that. My wife got the crab cakes that were very good but they charged $47 for two crab cakes and a scoop of very dry mashed potatoes. My son got the kids chicken strips and fries. No alcohol or dessert. I did get a French onion soup and the wife got a side Caesar salad to start. The total before tip was $137. There are so many other restaurants with as good or better food for less. Our server was very nice and attentive. It was a Saturday night at 8 pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The bar however seemed packed and we could hear the loud music even though the bar was a separate part of the building and had glass doors that muted the noise. I feel like this place has so much potential however for the cost, we probably will not go back given the other options within Bucks County.

Record inflation levels continue to impact business worldwide. Despite our best efforts to manage the impact, the persistent rise in food prices and operating cost has resulted in the need to implement price increases. We appreciate your understanding and your continued support and cannot wait to lower prices in the near future. Yes, the bar and patio area are very crowded during the Summer months compared to the indoor restaurant with people wanting to be outside on beautiful summer night.

Our hostess and waitress were very pleasant & helpful. We sat on the AC patio section with shades so it was very comforatable with an outdoor feeling. Their menu is very varied with great choices. And, we actually ordered from that day's menu because of the nice summer selections. My friend and I had a very lovely dining experience - in fact we've been there a number of times - one of our favorites!!!

Good food and service, nice atmosphere. My only complaint is that we had some fruit flies circling the table…may be tough to control this in the summer so it would not keep me from future visits. Good seafood.
