The Brush is an all-day Grand Cafe, Lounge & Cocktail Bar in the heart of Hoxton. The seasonally led menu pays homage to the ‘Grand Cafe’ genre, with inspiration taken from cuisines across Europe, offering a modern take on traditional dishes alongside new signatures.

Our dining experience at The Brush Grand Cafe was nothing short of exceptional. We started in the upstairs bar, which treated us to a lovely sunset view and lounge music. The restaurant is classy and has a unique ambiance, making it the perfect place for a memorable evening with friends. The food was an absolute delight, bursting with flavours and the wine selection was impressive too, offering perfect pairings for our meals. What truly sets this restaurant apart was the impeccable service. The staff was friendly and personable, attending to our every need with genuine smiles. Their attentiveness made us feel valued and well cared for. From the exquisite food, to the outstanding service and stunning views, this restaurant provided an unforgettable dining experience we won’t forget. Thank you!

I recently dined at that restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The ambience was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff were attentive and friendly, in particular Javier, providing excellent service throughout the meal.

Great atmosphere and service with amazing food (especially the beef rib). All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be returning. Thank you for an exceptional meal.

A really excellent meal with superb service in a gorgeous modern new building close to transport amenities. We really enjoyed ourselves before the jazz club

I wish the new team at the Brush Grand Café loads of luck as they seem a very friendly bunch, in training at present as is obvious, but with much desire to get things right. Certain elements of our lunch were fabulous, namely the thick, flavour rich, generous servings of french onion soup and the main course of charred hispi cabbage that we shared as a side dish. These were worth the walk down from Tufnell Park alone! However, the avocado toast would have been nothing without the egg added for a supplement. More a very thin dry bit of toast with a smear of avocado paste under some spinach leaves scattered with red chillies. Pretty but rather insubstantial, especially in a city full of even basic cafes serving much better versions. Also the only toilet that appeared open, or even visible, was a baby change/disabled toilet making the queues for its use a bit off putting. Then again I'm sure little things like this will get smoothed out over time, and that people staying in the hotel will enjoy the chance to snack on something tasty whilst checking out the traffic negotiated the Old Street roundabout. Unfortunately, the food was overly salty and quite average overall. Both flatbreads were below standard. While the main course was acceptable, I expected more from a restaurant in this prime location. I hope to see improvements in the future.

Wonderful evening spent with a friend and great food. Really enjoyed the French onion soup as well as the wonderful non-alcoholic cocktails They made us. Service wonderful, very attentive staff and very friendly and funny. Wonderful atmosphere and great to experience some of the live music from the bar upstairs. Will definitely be back.

We loved our experience - food was delicious. Wine was perfect. We really enjoyed our evening. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We sat at the chefs counter and really enjoyed being in the hub of the action
