great view from dining room. Servers were wonderful, pleasant helpful. Food was just ok steak was over cooked and too much fat.

The staff is probably summer help so they weren't familiar with the food, how it was prepared or sides. Your staff should partake in the entree so they are aware. Slow service as well. The meal was okay not as special as it sounded on the menu and the presentation was not great either. The view was awesome sitting outside and the drinks were perfect.

Drinks were outstanding. Atmosphere outstanding. Food was marginal. Server was young and learning, but fine. Service was not good. Paying the bill was an awful mess. And then, each couple received the wrong bill. Service (and mainly billing) has been a problem every time we've eaten at the Brown Swan. They need to get their act together.

This was our 2nd time at Brown Swan. We were terribly disappointed in the food the first time and so we were excited to try their new menu on Sunday. It took about 25 minutes to get a beer and and Old Fashioned and the Old Fashioned was terrible. Watered down with soda water. The beet salad was delicious. My daughter ordered french onion soup and it was the most unappetizing looking bowl of soup I have ever seen. They were trying to be trendy, but it tasted awful and looked like sludge. We ordered the vegetable flatbread as well which was topped with a thick paste that tasted like pure oregano. We all tried it and it was just terrible. My young daughter ordered a kids cheeseburger which was burned including the cheese on the top. It was black. Not sure how many kids like blackened cheese. My trout was pretty flavorless although the mashed potatoes and brocolini were very tasty. The only way the fish had flavor was to dip it in mashed potatoes. My husband's cioppino had 1 shrimp, 3 clams and 3 small pieces of white fish. Definitely not worth the price tag on all fronts. Such a shame because we were really excited about the atmosphere. We so badly want the food to be good but sadly, we will not be returning, not even for cocktails.

my husband and I have been here a couple of times, we love the food but the services is just way too slow and our waitress yesterday didn’t know what beer was available on draft or bottle when my husband asked. He had to leave our table and go to the bar to find out.

Lovely ambiance, attentive staff, nice selection of food and wine and beer and neat craft cocktails. Reasonable price for the quality of the dishes! Loved the schnitzel and clams in pesto sauce.
