The Bridge Arms is nestled within the beautiful rural village of Bridge situated within the Nailbourne Valley 2.5km South of the cathedral city of Canterbury. Originally a coaching inn, The Bridge Arms dates back to the 16th century, once a baiting house the grade II listed pub boasts large original fireplaces for the winter months and sparse outside garden with outside bar for the warmer summer months.

This iconic pub has undergone a transformation under the new ownership of Daniel and Natasha Smith (owners of The Michelin Starred Fordwich Arms) in 2021, restoring the pub to its former glory.

The menu concept created by Daniel & Natasha uses seasonal produce to support our local suppliers and to accommodate guests looking for a family friendly pub while highlighting the best British produce.

Within 9 months of opening The Bridge Arms was also awarded a Michelin Star as well as being listed in the top 100 restaurant awards.

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of dining at The Bridge Arms. The food and service are outstanding. Each visit has been consistently excellent. Highly recommend

Great ingredients well executed. This is a restaurant that won't challenge you but will provide excellent food. The starter - an onion tart - and dessert - a creme brule pear tart - were the stars as somewhat innovative. The main - lamb rack - was beautifully executed and superb taste and texture. Absolutely solid and not stodgy.

A wonderful Michelin starred restaurant in a quiet rural setting. I met up with two friends from the Continent whom I hadn't seen for a long time. We went there after a visit to Canterbury Cathedral, a place everybody should go to. The staff was amazingly friendly and the food was excellent. We all had the oysters, which were out of this world. My friends had the côte de boeuf which they described as top. A wonderful experience. A fantastic place to meet up friends and family from the Continent.

The food was great and the service was great. However, to have four or five different steak options and only one vegetarian option is quite poor for a Michelin starred restaurant in this price bracket- they should put more effort into catering for all types of client. Also, a restaurant in the heart of the historical hop-growing county of Kent, which prides itself on using local produce, but didn't have any local beers? Surprising to say the least.

Great food, great service & nice atmosphere, will definitely go again. The only downside was the family on the table next to us who's dog wouldn't stop whining to be fed from the table. I'm a dog lover but when someone else's dog puts it's nose in the food on our table, I draw the line, then they give the restaurants plates to the dog to lick - which I also think is not on. Maybe the pub should rethink their 'Dogs in a dining area' policy, which is a shame because all the other dogs in the pub were well behaved so 1 families lack of awareness shouldn't spoil it for other dog owners.
