Founded in 1975, the Brander Vineyard is one of the winemaking pioneers in Santa Barbara County. We produce a wide range of distinctive, classically styled wines, focusing primarily on Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, from our estate vineyard in the Los Olivos District AVA. The views are spectacular, the courtyard beautiful and the wines are unparalleled. For parties of 6+, you must call us at 805.688.2455, and leave your CC number to hold your reservation. No shows or cancellations within 24 hours will be charged $10 per person. No tastings after noon on Saturdays. We are known for our Sauvignon Blanc and the Bordeaux style wines we produce. There is also a beautiful airbnb on the property and the Brander Museum of Folk Art.

Guest arrival for a wedding is no earlier than 5:00p.m. and events can be held any day of the week. Set-up can begin after noon, or as determined in advance by management. WINE/BEVERAGES Brander wines are served exclusively. Caterers with appropriate licensing may provide wine and beer for your guests. All licensing must be faxed to Brander Vineyard prior to event. This perennial favorite, named after owner and winemaker Fred Brander's late daughter, is a blend of 43% Pinot Gris, 36% Sauvignon Blanc and 21% Riesling. The Sauvignon Blanc is estate grown while the Pinot Gris and Riesling are from Kick-On Ranch in Los Alamos. This wine is fermented to dryness in stainless steel to preserve the floral aromas and stone fruit notes of this unique blend.

Our Cuvée Nicolas is one of our few oaked Sauvignon Blancs. Select grapes from the estate, with a perfect balance of richness and acidity, are fermented and aged in a combination of 500 liter and 225 liter French oak barrels (30% new) for eleven months. The lees are kept with the wine and periodically stirred for additional flavor until the wine is ready for bottling

This Cuvee is our premium Sauvignon Blanc and our best expression of the varietal. Produced entirely from select blocks of grapes grown here on our estate, we hand harvest the fruit and leave the free-run juice in contact with the skins for up to 6 hours. To preserve the varietal character of the grape, we age the wine "Au Naturel" in stainless steel. This Cuvee undergoes five months of sur-lie aging prior to racking, resulting in the gorgeous mouthfeel, compelling minerality, and long-term ageability for which this wine is renowned.

55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, 7% Syrah, and 6% Malbec, this red blend is both approachable and curiously deep. The nose features a dark ruby color and aromas of ripe berries. Soft tannins with piquant acidity workto create a structure that allows this wine to pair nicely with a wide range of dishes.
2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
While the Brander Vineyard has long been renowned for our Sauvignon Blancs, we are also very proud of our distinctive, classically Bordeaux-styled Cabernets. This vintage offers gorgeous, pure fruit and presents an attractive, translucent dark ruby in the glass. This Cabernet has aromas of ripe strawberry, cherry and raspberries, red fruit on the palate, and finishes with smooth and velvety tannins.

2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
A 375ml version of Branders estate Cabernet Sauvignon. While the Brander Vineyard has long been renowned for our Sauvignon Blanc, we are also proud of our distinctive, classically Bordeaux-style Cabernets. This Cabernet is sourced from two lots – our oldest block, planted in 1975, with modest but impressively rich fruit, and the younger Erik's Block planted in 2008, which has a variety of flavors due to its diverse Cabernet clones. While young, this wine already flaunts wonderful notes of ripe cherries and tart blackberries, with warm spice and cedar notes. With age, this wine will continue to develop its flavor and become ever more intriguing for years to come

We are once again thrilled to release a Merlot made from the delicious fruit of the Mesa Verde Vineyard. Aged for 7 months in mostly French oak barrels, this Merlot has flavors of blackberries, plums and a hint of vanilla on both the nose and the palate.

In addition to producing Bordeaux style varieties, Los Olivos also proves to be a great area for the production of Syrah. Our Los Olivos District Syrah is fermented in small bins, punched down by hand, gently pressed, and then matured in neutral French oak for ten months. On the palate this wine shows notes of blackberries, raspberries, and cassis with a touch of iron and gaminess in the finish.
2017 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon50,00 $US
This incredible Cabernet is a blend of grapes taken from our oldest block, planted by Erik Branderin 1975, which produces a minimal amount of fruit since 2010, and the younger 'Erik's Block' , which Fred Brander favors for its diverse flavors. This wine shows wonderful notes of ripe cherry and tart blackberries, warm spices and light cedar. With age, this wine will continue to develop and will drink beautifully well between 2028 and 2033.

Beautiful setting in an outdoor patio surrounded by mature trees and roses. Went on a Saturday afternoon when they had live music. Also had a chef, cooking up custom tacos and quesadillas on an outdoor grill. Great wine selection by the glass or bottle. Even brought our dog! A definite gem!

Went for the wine tasting. Despite being very quiet in terms of customers we were kept waiting for a long time between each sips (and i must say of all the wineries, Brander gave the smallest sampling). Wines were brought to the table under the arm of the server and whether this was the cause or not, were never served at what I would consider a correct temperature. That said the wines were good, but the whole experience was not at anywhere near the level of the other vineyards visited.

It was a very casual wine tasting experience. The fountain was dry, the place did not seem quite ready for guests .

Visited / Tasted on Saturday afternoon. Brander had a local band playing in their courtyard, and local taco caterer. Wine was great! Food was great! A most enjoyable afternoon.

Well, this was a bust. We went on a Saturday, so it was busy. There's a downstairs shaded courtyard where they have music and seemed like a pleasant place to sit, but we were told that we had to sit upstairs "because we had an open table rez." Upstairs was not shady, and it was hot. They told us that downstairs cost $15 and you could buy glasses of wine and that upstairs was for tasting ($20). It was impossible to get a server's attention to get on to the next taste. They have food downstairs (tacos and quesadillas) but you had to go back downstairs to order the food. So, we did. After about 25 minutes, when food did not appear, we had to go downstairs and collect the food. The wines they had for tasting included the 2 we were interested in: Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé, but they only had the 2020 vintages of both, and they were not good.

I absolutely LOVED the afternoon we spent here. Gorgeous area, beautiful and lively patio— and SUCH wonderful service. Was visiting from LA and cannot wait to return!

Very mediocre to poor customer service. As members we were looking forward to returning and expected the same personal service as before. We brought two friends to possibly join due to our high praise. We bought a case and they bought a case and we were still charged 2 tasting fees. No ...it’s not printed that the fee is waived with a purchase but come on...members bring two prospective members and purchase 2 cases of wine. Back to Paso Robles and Edna Valley where they appreciate your business, treat you like a valued customer and give you little tid bits of thanks.
