The BOX on the Water is situated in prime position on both the Ettalong foreshore and beach. Its absolute waterfront location has panoramic views out across Broken Bay to its namesake, Box Head, and over to Sydney's northern beaches.

Architecturally designed with a stylish, modern aesthetic, The BOX on the Water restaurant, bar and beach kiosk is just an hour and a half drive from central Sydney or twenty five minutes on the passenger ferry from Palm Beach.

Absolutely delightful lunch at the Box on the water at Ettalong. Every staff member is friendly, especially Alyssa who looked after us beautifully. Great relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful view & the food is delish. Highly recommend.

Lovely evening as usual. Wait staff are very attentive and intuitive. Just wish that I didn't have to pour the wine as we progress. The sardines are a must try. Favourite restaurant and location.

Probably one of the worse meals I’ve had at a restaurant recently and I eat out regularly. The focaccia bread with duck pate lukewarm and stale. New summer menu very limited will not go back and what we had was tasteless.

Beautiful resturant by the water at sunset. Playground very close by for the kids to play as you wait for food. Child-friendly and food was fantastic

We love this restaurant and go there about 12 times a year. Food choice is excellent as is choice of drinks. Location by the water is best on the Coast. Will be back.

We went to BotW last year and she insisted on a return visit. Thanks all for a great day. And thank you Elissa [Elisa?] for her personal service at our table. I look forward to my next visit. Sadly very disappointing tonight. We usually love the food at The Box. It was the last of their wine pairing nights, this time with Shut The Gate wines from the Clare Valley. Really a small 5 course degustation all as small entrees. First up the crab roll was miniscule and 98% bun. Tasteless. Was there crab in there? The pumpkin ravioli in burnt butter was awesome but sadly was just one piece. The pork was good. The steak like absolute gristle. Just terrible. The desert was ok. The wines were good, some great. The Fiano was a delight. The Grenache beautiful. The other wines were fair to middling.
