The BOX on the Water is situated in prime position on both the Ettalong foreshore and beach. Its absolute waterfront location has panoramic views out across Broken Bay to its namesake, Box Head, and over to Sydney's northern beaches.

Architecturally designed with a stylish, modern aesthetic, The BOX on the Water restaurant, bar and beach kiosk is just an hour and a half drive from central Sydney or twenty five minutes on the passenger ferry from Palm Beach.

We had our Wedding anniversary dinner at Box on the water and it was magnificent. We could not fault a thing. The service was superb and the food was delicious.

Great position, service was good and food good, limited menu and that hasn’t changed for years Think that there should be more entree’s and desserts Only 1 steak meal which was a little bit to salty

A delightful place to eat with great views of Ettalong Beach. But you pay for location. Average expect to pay $80 - $100 per head for nice lunch with that special person in your life.

We were lucky to have a table outside in perfect temperature! This added to the ambience! The food was great, the cocktails great. The people serving were lovely, friendly and helpful. All together lovely night fit Father’s Day! ( lots of gluten free options, few vegetarian!)

Good size of entries but little too small with the mains. Too much mussels than other seafood.

Great restaurant, location and staff also excellent. Range of wines and on tap beers flawless. Booking is so much better as you can book easily online without the annoying need to enter any credit card details !!!!

Was a lovely degustation meal promoting Howard Smith wines. Perfect…… 😬 Last course - Cabernet poached pear - stuffed with Blue cheese. Suggestion - Cabernet with blue cheese and crackers Followed by Poached pear with some sort of sticky?? Agree??

I am a Booker Bay local and booked the Box for a special lunch with two old friends, one who was visiting from the US. From the moment we sat down and were looked after by the delightful Piper the whole experience was great. My overseas visitor said the Nambucca oysters were the best he had ever eaten. Piper looked after us with a great combination of professionalism and friendliness. My other guest who was a vegetarian polished off a whole bowl of Brussel sprouts declaring them excellent. Could not have been better. Thankyou.
