The Bower is a full service restaurant and bar proudly highlighting locally sourced American cuisine. Louisiana Farmers and farmers markets are our jam and inspiration. Our menus are ingredient driven determined by seasons, product availability and the additional health benefits they provide.

The food and the service were very good. We had basil spaghetti and cacio e pepe - they were so good that we couldn’t help but eat our huge portions in one sitting. Delicious.

Great wine selection. We cared a conversation with having to raise our voices. Staff was super friendly. Food was phenomenal

This place is amazing! Food is good, service was great but I wished they had fans outside. We were DYING of heat!

The Bower has yet again solidified themselves as my favorite restaurant in the city. Every single aspect of the service tonight was absolutely flawless, on top of the food being incredible. Each member of the staff has such a warmth and presence that makes me feel like I’m at home every time I come. Even the way they answer the phone is so kind and personable. Their whole establishment is a master class in hospitality and impeccable service, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. As a native New Orleanian, I have high standards for restaurants, and they blow my expectations out of the water every time. Thank you to every single person on staff there for a wonderful evening!

We didn’t have a terrific experience at The Bower, which is surprising because they get such good reviews. We made reservations in advance and ordered from the Coolinary menu. Despite multiple tables being available, we were seated at one at which the sun shone directly in my eyes. When the host saw me squinting, he said not to worry, the “sun will go down soon.” It did, several minutes later, but I and another member of my party were very uncomfortable for that period of time. Our server was really nice. My daughter has celiac, which we noted on the reservation. The other 9 restaurants we ate at during Coolinary did a great job accommodating, however The Bower was either unwilling or unable to do the same. Basically, she wound up with two appetizers instead of an appetizer and a main. We all had the Ora king salmon crudo for our appetizer, which was mushy and contained whole rings of onion. Two of us wound up picking whole peppercorns out of ours. For mains, I had the shrimp, which was also mushy. It was basically a big pile of brown. I ate the shrimp, but that was it. My husband had the pork, which was dry. My daughter had the whipped feta, which the server assured us was great. It was served with no bread or crackers, so basically it was a pile of yellow mush with pickles and onions that both tasted overwhelming of vinegar and nothing else. The feta had a strange, acrid taste. My daughter couldn’t eat it. Her boyfriend had the basil spaghetti, which he also said wasn’t great (it was all very one-note). For dessert, we ordered the budino, which was oddly runny and gritty. My daughter was initially told she couldn’t have the budino because that was for Coolinary only, which she couldn’t order from because of the celiac. Then she was told she could have it, but opted to go with the flourless chocolate cake, which was the best tasting thing we were served all night. Maybe we just hit them on a bad night, but we won’t be going back.

This special menu for Rose all day was such a delight. The gala apple salad was entree sized and delicious. The whipped feta is a must for any table. The entrees were so appetizing and filling. The service staff, Noah, was so sweet and the right level of attentiveness. This may become a new go to place to bring people and just enjoy the space with good food and drinks.
