Each of the Botanic Tearoom’s scented teas is naturally fragranced with fresh flowers or natural oils, creating vivid aromas and perfectly timed using traditional hourglass timers.

Lovely ambience, Abbey was so lovely and attentive. Sandwiches received mixed reviews, not for everyone’s taste. Scones were to die for and cakes were lovely. Really loved this treat!!

I want to thank all the staff at the tearoom who went above and beyond to help us celebrate our friends surprise baby shower! We all had an amazing time and will definitely be returning in the near future! Thank you all x

Superb service from Anna. So attentive, professional and brought a lovely plate with ‘happy birthday’ and a cake for my friend’s birthday. Lovely ambience. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. Best scones I’ve eaten in an afternoon tea. Unusual vegetarian fillings for sandwiches. Such a change to the usual boring ones!

We went for afternoon tea as a gift from our son and daughter-in-law. The service, food and setting were all top drawer. The tea room was very quiet but we were offered the choice of moving to the restaurant if we wanted more atmosphere. We stayed in the tea room and enjoyed excellent service. Would definitely recommend

Beautiful venue, however, service was extremely slow and choice of sandwiches was poor. We did not wish to eat seafood choices but didn’t get offered any alternative. Egg and coronation chicken were the only other option. Needs more variety. Also, service was too slow and we did not get our drinks in a timely manner. Very disappointed given the money we spent.

The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious, all the items were served on time and the staff were kind and attentive. The Botanic Tearoom is really lovely, I think it is one of the nicest I have been to, and I have been to Betty's tearooms.

The setting is lovely, we made a reservation earlier than typical tea time, so we had the room to ourselves. Our servers were just lovely. Informative and friendly. Abby had great recommendations. The room was beautiful and the tea selections were vast. The food was very generous; too much to eat in one sitting. The deserts were beautifully crafted. Overall a wonderful experience. They even did a special dish to recognize my daughter's birthday. Bravo!

We arrived on time but unfortunately our table was not ready. We were given a free glass of Prosecco whilst we waited however we were surprised as it was not particularly busy. We were asked what particular afternoon tea package we required and we advised the one which included the glass of champagne package. The waitress told us that she would bring the glass of champagne over once we had drank our glass of Prosecco. The food arrived and it was lovely and with such a variety of delicate cakes too. Unfortunately we were sitting with our empty glasses before we had to ask for our champagne. There were quite a small amount of fruit flies bothering us, however by the time we had eaten our finger sandwiches there was quite a good amount of them and we were constantly having to wave them away. Unfortunately many of the flies had landed on our scones and cakes so we were unable to eat them. We asked to be moved from our table and the waiter said he would bring our food over, I told him not to as it was full of flies. He did apologise and said he would give us discount when we settled our bill. We waited for a long time for our coffees, eventually I went over to ask for them. At the time of settling the bill we were told due to the problems we encountered it was free of charge. Whilst we sincerely appreciated such generosity we couldn’t help but feel disappointed with our experience.

Fab afternoon tea, nothing was too much trouble and my Friend had a couple of extra cakes provided as it was her Birthday .. such a lovely touch. Service was great too.
