    The fish entrees for my husband and myself were overdone and dry. I did not care for the ice cream ball ensconced with hazelnuts on the side of the dish for the poached pear dessert. My son's lamb entree was delicious he said. His baba dessert was very plain and did not live up to its description. Our waitresses were very nice but they hovered over us too much and kept asking if everything was okay. They clearly were trying to please which was appreciated in a way. They carded my son whose 30th birthday we were celebrating. I don't think he looks under 21.But it took quite a while to get his license back. The venue is always lovely with pleasant ambiance.

    Other guests were very loud. Pretty pricey for being test subjects for students.

    We had a person in our group who had allergies to onion and garlic. While this was known, we had to push for options. In the end, an option for seafood and meat dishes were given. It took extra discussion to get the meat dish option. The difference was no onion garnish and no sauce. Very minor in my opinion, but this was only presented after talking to one of the supervisors (I called her over and explained the problem, she then stepped in with the student staff). All worked out, but it was because we forced the issue.

    The dining at Bocuse is both a pleasure and delight as well as the best bargain around! My birthday lunch was delicious from start to finish. The asparagus appetizer was beautiful and a perfect start, my main course of Bouillabaisse was in short, the finest expression of the dish I've ever had; and I've had it in Marseille! so refined and each component perfectly cooked. The dessert of Baba au Armagnac was boozy and light. The service was so attentive but not overbearing. Have I mentioned the comfortable chairs?! a rarity in today's restaurant world. And it feels good to be part of training the next generation of great chefs. Merci!

    Both the food and the service (by students) were superb. We loved the meal and the experience.

    Keeping in mind these are students, the experience was outstanding. The food was excellent, better than expected, and the price is very reasonable for a 3-course tasting menu. The night we were there, we learned it was their first night of service for their FOH rotation. They were understandably nervous! However, they all worked together and it was fun to be part of their education. I highly recommend it, but don't expect Michelin star service from culinary students...yet!
