Please note, guest request are not guaranteed. You can request to be seated on the terrace, but it's not guaranteed as these tables are open to the elements. On a sunny day, tables are allocated outside based on the date the booking was made (early birds!) We will do our upmost to accommodate you outside if we can. Please call us on the day to see where you will be seated as special requests are not guaranteed. We have zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour.

The Boatman, is Windsor’s only pub on the river at the foot of Windsor Castle overlooking Eton Bridge. Serving freshly cooked food all day everyday from midday to 9pm at night, in the cosy bar, restaurant or in the stunning riverside all-weather conservatory, there is a fine selection of wine, ales, cocktails to choose from.
The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

The ambiance and environment was lovely. Great spot and perfect location, lovely to be on the river. Service was good and reasonable with staff. Food came out atrociously quickly, slightly worrying when it’s a limited Sunday menu and it’s hot food. Food was OK, nothing special and wouldn’t return for food. Drinks were nice and good location for it all.

A beautiful vista and sublime food 😎 We had Sunday lunch and it’s busy so be prepared to have a wait for your food, but let me tell you it’s worth it.

Arrived earlier than expected. Told the lady that greeted us that would be nice to sit outside. She managed to cut us in and to my mind had the best table right next to the river. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Had a lovely roast followed by Baileys cheesecake. Would thoroughly recommend 😊

We are frequent diners here and always enjoy it. Food is always great and always a good starter and main menu choice. Dessert menu could however be better. Overall we very much recommend

Lovely place, food is excellent & friendly staff.. The only thing I can fault is that the main course came out to quick, almost as we finished our starters.. But overall a lovely place to dine out..

Fantastic menu range, I was struggling to decide what to eat. Food quality was outstanding and quantity on the plate was perfect. We will definitely eat here again. thanks to the staff for making our experience special,
