We went for Sizzle week. Unfortunately, they were out of lobster. The other items on the menu were upcharged $10 to $20. Also, we had reservations, but we waited an additional 40 minutes. This is the off-season when locals don't expect these problems.

Very crowded. Waited 1 hour for seating even with a reservation. Ran out of items on the menu

Grindingly slow. Two and a half hours for dinner was absurd. We waited about an hour between our salads and entrees only to find out they were sold out of some items! Once we agreed to the substitutions our meals came out fairly quickly. We frequent the Boathouse often and this visit was not up to their usual standards.

They had a special menu. 39.99 for a choice of appetizer, entree with either a potato selection or salad or fruit, and a dessert. Great value. Even lobster was one of the entree selections. Off season you can find great deals

We took advantage of the Sizzling Dining specials for September. My three course meal was jalapeño bacon wrapped shrimp for the appetizer. Three very large portioned shrimp. The main dish was a 1 1/2 lbs Maine lobster with the traditional melted butter and mashed potatoes. Lastly, a Blondie carmel crunch brownie for desert. It was awesome. We sat on the deck on the water and in the shade with a nice breeze. It was very pleasant and our waitress was very attentive and prompt. I will definitely come back.

It was a girls night out and we went for sizzle week. We sat outside which was a little too hot but the view was great. Food was wonderful. We had the whole lobster which could have been cracked a little more. We used a lot of napkins, but had a lot of fun.
