We historically love The Boathouse and go several times each season but last night’s experience was a bit disappointing. First, we had an outdoor reservation but were seated indoors without any notice, apology, etc. The host ran away before I could even say anything because my elderly parents were in between the host and me. Second, we were seated two on each side of a square table which was awkward because there was too much space been each side. Third, the house salad was uninspiring and looked like “bag salad.” Fourth, the bread came out long after our salads, Fifth, the prime rib was excellent but the baked potato was cold. Lastly, I’m not too keen on the new a la carte menu pricing strategy but at least the side we’re reasonably priced. We plan to go back but I sure hope outdoor (vs indoor) reservations are honored in the future.

We thought it was under staffed and overpriced. Had to ask for things multiple times and never got the items. Very disappointing.

Some of the freshest seafood in Naples. The service is always good…..friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff. This place is always a favorite!

Had reservations for outside. We were sat very quickly but waited over 15 minutes for our server to show up. Almost walked out.

I got the grouper combo with fried shrimp and crabcake. It was delicious. My wife got the trigger fish with jerk seasoning. It was not spicy at all. It was very good. The only issue I had was our drinks were subpar. I had the worst old-fashioned I’ve ever had. They made it with crushed ice and put maraschino cherries in it. It tasted like watered down flat cola. My wife’s spicy margarita was not much better.

Sorry to report that they increased their prices and now charge extra for a side and salad. They want to capitalize on the snowbirds at the expense of everyone else. We were there in September and the staff was begging us to come back more often since business was so bad. Our dinners in September cost $78 and last night we paid $109 for the same meal with a lesser portion. Sorry to say that we won’t be back.

We did make the change to A La Cart sides, but in refection to that we have lowered the price of all menu items and lowered the price of the sides from $5 to $3. The food is as good as the view! They offer a wide selection of food and the service was friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful evening.

We had a great meal tonight at the Boathouse. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We would recommend the Boathouse to others.
