A warm welcome from our family lead team, a seasonal menu of European and British dishes sourced from fresh seasonal ingredients sits along side a regularly changing specials board. Simon, Tom and the kitchen team are incredibly passionate about their food and offering dishes that you will want to eat.

A well chosen range of wines, beers and spirits, sourced from local suppliers offer something for every thirst!

The pub has a great feel with a statement dining room, dog friendly Agricultural Bar and unique and stunning garden for the sunny days. We hope everyone will enjoy their visit to us

Went as a family of 7 , all had a roast which was enjoyed by us all. Dessert was lovely too. Always had a good meal every time we have been, friendly service too.

Very pleasant reception and nice table setting. Unfortunately the table top was not secure (able to rotate). However, we were moved to a different one and the faulty one repaired quickly.

We’ve had a mixed bag experience the last few visits, but decided to give it another chance with entertaining friends visiting, sadly we were disappointed and wanted to feedback to you… We were initially given two menus, standard and a ‘Tuesday £12 menu’ which we questioned given it was Saturday, and informed it still applied. We were also informed of a specials menu which would be brought to us. Some of us having chosen from the £12 menu, others waiting for the specials we were then asked by the same waitress if we were ready to order!, which of course we could not as we’d been promised the specials board. We were then informed it was still being written. A gentlemen brought the board eventually and after which time our orders were taken. As this very point the gentlemen returned frantically to retract the £12 menus which some had ordered from! The two women at our table ordered nibbles for the table to share which strangely prompted the waitress to take the starter cutlery from the gentlemen. When the starters came the waitress offered individual plates which we accepted. Sadly one of the small plates had a film of grease across it which was unusable and the waiter told us after ‘the kitchen had likely used it’. …then wouldn’t that have been checked beforehand!? A usually long wait between starter and main gave us enough time to have to ask for a second drink despite our glasses being empty. The main meal was a nice quality, the steak knife I received for my burger did however have an obvious and unpleasant bend at the end of it which just showed its age or lack of care. The Beef Bourguignon meat was too tough in our opinion but beautiful flavour. All in all whilst the food was of a good quality the service sadly lets down the experience far beyond this. The young staff are always pleasant but in our view not meeting the standard of the food offering and at times too honest with the clients which is not necessary. We hope our feedback is useful to you.
