Located in the heart of Cuyahoga Falls, near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Blossom Music Center, The Blue Door Cafe now also offers an elevated but casual dinner service. Showcasing an eighteen foot poured concrete bar, more spacious and comfortable seating and many other nuanced improvements, The Blue Door offers a seasonal and rotating menu featuring charred burgers, house made pastas, hand formed dumplings, air shipped seafoods, and wagyu steaks. The Blue Door proudly sources ingredients from local farms as well as nationally recognized purveyors such as Portland Maine's Browne Trading Company and Ohio's own The Chef's Garden! Dishes with a European and global flair are carefully created and prepared using techniques that draw upon and showcase the skills of our culinary team. Disappointing. The unhappy hostess sat us between two couples that were literally inches away from us and we had to listen to their conversation all night. This despite our request on OpenTable for a private table. The evening got worse with small, expensive portions and a burnt appetizer. Then a tablet handed to us with a 20% gratuity highlighted! Will not be going back and do not understand the generous reviews.

We apologize for not seeing your request for a private table. Had you pointed this out when you were seated we would have tried to accommodate. Our restaurant is very small. Our host is a wonderful and smart young woman but happens to be shy. She is one of the most delightful people we have had the pleasure of employing. As far as the food, we make everything in house. Our pasta is handmade daily-not pulled from a box. Our breads are made from scratch. Our prices appropriately take into account our labor costs and the quality ingredients we provide. If there is a complaint about a dish we correct it immediately if advised by the customer. The systems suggests tips from 15%-25% or you can put in a custom amount. 20% is not highlighted. Many restaurants use the same system.

Our appetizer, dinner entreés and dessert were perfectly cooked, filling and amazingly delicious. Our waitress, Carrie was also the best! We will definitely return.

The shareboard was outstanding. Our waiter was very nice but was not very aware of the space, or us trying to flag him. I had the eggplant parmigiana and was disappointed. I am used to the breakfast shrimp and grits at Blue Door and other delights, and felt this did not measure up. I saw the short ribs delivered to another table and thought perhaps the mistake was mine. The peach shortcake was a definite “10”!!! The cocktails and wine were great! I will be back, just a little picky.

Always great food and service. The ambience could use improvement but food and service make up for it. Drinks are great too!

The Blue Door is an incredible place to eat, everything is always perfect as expected! I had the beef short rib and it was amazing! The service is always top notch as well!
