Filipe is an outstanding server and very courteous. Food is fantasic and ambience is fun with nice DJ.

The food and service were excellent but the atmosphere was out of this world. It turns into a nightclub like atmosphere and we had the very best time there!

I have dined at The Blue Dog many, many times since it opened. How unfortunate that due to several new policies, some of which are offensive, that we will no longer go there. When they present the check it automatically adds in a 20% gratuity. Adding the gratuity is bad enough, it should be added by the patron based on service quality, but we all accept the 15% minimum. By adding in a 20% gratuity, if I want to only offer the standard 15%, I have to as the waiter to change the check to reflect the lower tip. That would be extremely embarrassing so I, lie most, will ay the 20% and feel very strange about the whole transaction. THAT'S NOT ALL. There is a 4% surcharge if you use a credit card! Few people carry $200 in cash and would be forced to incur the fee. Petty and embarrassing. Not a very pleasant way to end our night out. We will never do it again.

Started with no table reserved for us, and then, host did to us a tour around the restaurant looking for a table for party of 5. Finally she found a very small booth table and then… I stoped everything and asked for the floor manager. Well, the manager did find a good table. BTW is was located at the entry of the restaurant (main entry) LOL. Checked - never come back. P.S. I need to send a request to OpenTable to get credit for my visit. I was as no-show reservation.

They went 0-4 on getting red meat medium rare. Service was unbearably slow. Unjustifiably overpriced food.

I’ll start with the positive. Our server Felipe was great. Very attentive and affable. We liked him a lot. For the bad, the bar service was extremely slow and the place wasn’t even 1/4 full at 7pm on a Saturday. The craft cocktails aren’t good. The ingredients are good and you would expect them to taste great but they don’t. The flavor profiles are off. For the food. Everything we had was extremely bland. The only item that had flavor was the bone marrow crab cake. Our bill for 2 people was $315. We could have eaten at Morton’s or Meat Market Steakhouses for that price and had great food. To add insult to injury, they charge a 3% credit card merchant fee. We’ve never seen that at a restaurant before. They also charge a mandatory 20% gratuity for 2 people. We’ve only seen that with parties if 6 or more. Never for 2 people. Over all it was disappointing and we won’t be back. The only thing the place has going for it are the servers and the owners, management, chef, and bartenders are doing them a disservice. I feel for them.

The vibe was amazing. Food ok. Service good till the music started then it was kinda hard to get server to our table,it worked out ok.

Lacks character. Food was good. Wine list very limited. They charge 20%gratuity without mentioning it and add a 3.5% credit card fee, this is annoying. Will not come back.
