The Blue Ball team offer a warm welcome to one and all at the Blue Ball Inn, a fine turn of the 17th Century thatched pub and restaurant with accommodation in Sandygate on the edge of Exeter Devon.

Considered to be one of the prettiest pubs in the area, the Blue Ball Inn is the ideal location should you wish to visit us for a glass of wine, a pint of traditional real ale, a tasty bar snack or an enjoyable lunch or evening meal in our delightful restaurant. Inside, you will find a relaxed ambiance full of style and comfort with its cosy interior. During the cooler months the real log-burning fire creates a lovely atmosphere whilst in warmer months you can sit outside in our beer garden which enhances this charming restaurant and pub watering hole.

Our head chef takes real pleasure in cooking culinary delights and delicacies using Devon's finest produce that always reflects the season of the year.

Very good food. The staff are very friendly. And we have an acoustic singer on valentines day which is an added extra. Will definitely come back again and will recruit friends to come and visit.

A lovely visit. Our first outing as a family of 3. Greeted at the door in which we were helped in with the pram, asked where we preferred to sit which was lovely as we didn’t want to feel the pressure having a baby. Lovely food and great staff, thank you!!

Booking easy, no waiting had our table was ready as soon as we arrived. Drinks And food order taken and food arrived quickly. Delicious! Everything cooked perfectly. Dog friendly pub too. Only thing we would change, is we were sitting underneath the speaker and the music was a bit loud, with all the other diners talking. Maybe more background than overhead pop, would've been better.

Excellent food very well presented with attentive table service. Particularly liked the use of local produce. Definitely would visit again…

This is the second time we have been to the Blue Ball in a month. The second visit was as good as the first (which was great). We went with different friends for our second meal, who agreed that the service, food and surroundings were perfect. I really cannot rate this place highly enough and we will definitely be back! Thank you for such a great meal and service.
