We went to the Blue Anchor as we had heard that the food was very good….how right they were! Delicious! Lovely staff…fab ambiance…service was excellent! A really lovely dinner with family, we would highly recommend this pub!

We had a party of five at the pub plus dog. We were all very well looked after. The menu is very varied with some Asian flavours coming in.

Quality of the service and the food was overtaken by a large party in situ; sat down at 1 but not fed till till 1:45, difficult for 97 year old parents. Food was tasty but the fish was slightly overcooked. Might be nice to have a smaller portion option for the pub classics… dar too much food for average appetites.

Food great 👍 I had baby aubergine dish which was stunning so tasty my son had “god” of burgers and my husband couldn’t finish his chicken burger we totally recommend this pub

Very pleasant garden to sit in while we ate. Service was excellent. Menu choice was ok. Cider battered fish nice - more batter than fish though! Would visit this pleasant pub again

I enjoyed my visit although I think the food quality & selection has reduced since my last visit two years ago I was disappointed with the vegetarian options ( only a roast or halloumi). Service was very good. It was a Sunday afternoon & extremely busy & loud which detracted from the experience. I did have slightly higher hopes after my first visit. Overall an ok Sunday lunch.
