Serves fresh, bold and innovative food that reflects the history of New Bedford and celebrates the New Bedford fishermen, their catch and their culture.

Menu focuses on local fishermen’s catch of the day, old school seafood favorites and a sprinkling of modern seafood interpretations. Menu ranges from raw bar, to warm and cold lobster rolls, baked cod, bacon wrapped scallops, bouillabaisse and grilled NY Strip.

Large bar and spectacular views of the artful New Bedford Fishing Fleet. Large covered outside deck overlooking the fishing boats and harbor. Centrally located beside the Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Ferries. Large parking lot.

And, of course, the hospitality is second to none. Service is what built the business.

The noise level was so high we tried to leave after ordering but our waiter checked and the prep was in progress. Our halibut was good but we hurried through it to be able to escape.

Food was excelleant. Lobster thermidor is a rare restaurant find was was great Chowder was good; very filling Fisherman’s stew was great was were the mussells Best part was a great waitress- amanda. Right there when you need her a d a great personality

Have been dining here for years. The Fisherman’s Stew has not had any seafood in it the last 3 visits? I know seafood has gone up, but for all the previous years it had bits of seafood in it? A change or just bad scooping on whoever fills the bowl?

I love this place. I frequently told people it’s my favorite restaurant in Massachusetts however last night we ended up leaving after we finished our appetizer (a few sushi rolls) a because the service was so bad. Our server visited our table twice in the hour we sat there and seemed bothered by us waving her down. When we asked for the check she said “I wasn’t trying to be rude” and made it awkward for us. As a server myself, it was a bit jarring to see a grown woman act in that manner.
