We have been to the Black Pearl before and I guess that is where they decide we do not warrant the full experience. Our experience compared to others around us seemed to be lacking. The menu options and the progression of the dinner was not explained to us. We did not even receive the entrement before our main course. They make you order your dessert before your main course as they take time to prepare, up to 20 minutes according to our waiter. We did so as requested and still waited over 20 minutes for our dessert after our entrees were cleared. We were not offered after dinner drinks with our dessert even though our wine was gone. And there was no apology for the delay. For the prices they charge, you would expect the full experience every time you go there.

The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. We were really impressed by the plating and the creativeness of the chefs pairings. We started with the bread which they change often, this one was a Japanese milk bread it was sweet came with a beautiful herbed oil. We then shared the starter of lobster risotto. It was creamy, flavorful and the risotto was the perfect texture. My wife had the filet mignon and it was cooked to absolute perfection. I had the duck and let me tell you, I’m not a fan of beets or hazelnuts but the bite put together was a flavor blast I would have never expected. It was absolutely delicious. We took home the banana fosters and it was the dessert you dream of when you want something sweet. Just dreamy. Our waiter was so kind, helpful and he did a great job at making sure we had the ultimate experience. We will most certainly be back to the black pearl.

We had a fabulous experience from beginning to end! Great service. High quality food with lots of flavors! The filet, coffees and desserts were outstanding! We will be back!

We absolutely loved it here, the food was incredible. Capital grille, Eddie V’s, Ruth’s Chris has NOTHING on this place. Service was fantastic. The place is a little small so request a booth if you go. Will be returning!!

This was my second time eating here. It’s fine dining at its best! The service is outstanding as well as the food. It’s not inexpensive, but worth every penny.

I was filled with anticipation as I arrived at this establishment, eager to celebrate a new job with a cherished friend. The culinary experience that unfolded before us was truly exceptional. Regrettably, our enjoyment of the meal was marred by the presence of servers whose behavior was far from tasteful. They deemed it appropriate to engage in derogatory conversations about my friend and me, criticizing our choices in ordering and sharing food. Despite the fact that we had already spent a considerable sum of $350, it seemed insufficient to satisfy their desire for us to indulge in more glasses of exorbitantly priced wine, which we would have gladly done, or to order individual meals instead of sharing. While monetary considerations were of no consequence to us, we were not inclined to overindulge and waste food. To our astonishment, one of the servers deemed it fitting to discuss this matter with a fellow employee right outside the women's restroom, within earshot of our entire conversation. Expressing our disappointment, we approached the manager, who appeared appalled by our experience but failed to take any action to retain our future patronage. In conclusion, the overall conduct exhibited by the wait staff was highly distasteful, and it is with great certainty that I declare my intent never to return to this establishment. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone, fully aware that its wait staff prioritizes upselling and the monetary value of a customer's experience over the actual enjoyment and satisfaction derived from dining there.
