Hands down the greatest dining experience in the entire Tampa Bay Area. If Pinellas was on Michelin this would be 2-3 stars. The food is incredible. Chef driven menu. I can’t rave enough about the Black Pearl. What an experience, more than a meal!

The restaurant try's to deliver an upscale fine dining experience but is held back by the very cramped and congested restaurant and incredibly small tables. The food quality is good but not outstanding. Waiter staff are informed and helpful if not a bit over officious. Some of the up charging seems a bit greedy. $5 for one small cracker less than an inch square for hors d'oeuvres. Wine prices are up there too

I do fine dining about 50 times a year. Im in sales and I am constantly eating in world class restaurants. Best food, service, and overall experience I have had in 10 years. If I lived here I would eat here as much as I could afford. Don’t question it, just book the reservation!

Having dined at the Black Pearl more than 15 years ago, I knew it was a special gem but had forgotten about all of the special touches. You are welcomed at the door like family and promptly seated for your reservation. You quickly feel whisked away to another world by warm and attentive staff. Adam, their sommelier somehow knew exactly what we'd like when he suggested a different bottle of wine than we had originally chosen. Our bottle of Vintage Burgundy took us on quite the journey through all of the delicious courses. Looking around at many satisfied faces, we knew there were no wrong decisions on the menu. We indulged in the pork belly, lobster risotto and filet mignon as well as the smaller courses between that were all bursting with flavor! Our server Dan assured us that ordering all of our courses at once will be appropriately spaced by their Chef as to not feel rushed. He was spot on! We HIGHLY recommend the Black Pearl for a special fine dinning experience.

Absolute perfection. The food, service and ambiance were all 5 star. Great restaurant for special occasions or just for a great night out. You will love it.

This restaurant will not disappoint. Higher end food for a special occasion or for those who are foodies and appreciate good wine and a fine chef. We went to celebrate a birthday and were visiting Dunedin from NC. Someone recommended this restaurant but we were not expecting it to be as fine dining as it was but we were pleasantly surprised. The wines were amazing and the restaurant only had 11 tables so the service was the best. We had the filet and sea bass and also the lobster risotto as starter which was great to split as amazing tastes but is very rich/filling. We look forward to making this a special night out every time we visit Dunedin.
