Outstanding service. Tommy is an amazing Somm that opens wine like a Geisha pours tea, Elegantly and beautifully. Jay gave outstanding service. I always say the best thing about service is timing, and his was flawless. The food however, not great. A few bites were beautiful, like the lobster risotto, pork belly, and sea bass. We had to do the tasting menu, which was about $125, and for that kind of money I expect every course to be nearly perfect. I think you can tell a lot about a chef based on their salad, and an undressed spring salad mix and an overdressed poorly chopped romaine Caesar isn’t gonna cut it if you all expect a Michelin star. My husband and I spent $500 for the two of us. The service and wine was worth it, the food….. NO WAY. I feel bad that we weren’t able to chat with the staff more about the quality of the food, but it’s so small in there we didn’t want the other diners to hear us.

The experience was great and fun with my wife. It was an anniversary night for us. It was special and they made us feel special without even knowing it was our anniversary, but I will say they did not have the bottle of wine that we were going to have so they sold us glasses of wine that were the same price for two glasses as a whole bottle That we wanted. My wife didn’t have her second glass, but they charged us for that one. Also, we were offered on the house dessert wines with our dessert and then they came back and said they will split the glass with us? And then ended up charging us. I believe for two glasses? Lol so going back there I will have to be more on my game with saying no thank you to some things. Also, my food was not awesome I girly the veil, but my wife’s was really delicious. I would also mention that this was a great and fun dining experience, but we did have some issues. We might go back but not sure.

Wonderful meal, great wine suggestion from their sommelier, excellent service. Everything down to the french press coffee and figgy pudding was excellent. Truly a unique dinning experience. A perfect leisurely paced meal, but you are never left waiting. I had the Chilean sea bass in a delicious sauce. The dressing for the black pearl salad is so delicious as well. Lobster truffle risotto I have had it several times previously but never gets old. A great place to celebrate special events.

We love to go to the Black Pearl for New Year’s Eve and last night did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the service from sommelier Adam and server Jay was impeccable. It’s an experience to remember!

Lovely food. Bit of a European feeling in terms of ambience and taste. The price is the negative part, especially with the added 20% service charge. Overall great place.
