The Black Grape - a new small plate restaurant located on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Expect small plates, wine & good times in a stunning setting. This custom designed wine bar & restaurant is the ideal setting for intimate date night dining, drinks with friends or a quick snack as you people watch in the heart of the city. Our menu is a gastronomic tour de force with inspiration from around the globe. One thing unites all our dishes however - bold, punchy flavours and plates that are perfect for sharing. In addition to a 40 seater restaurant the Black Grape also has a cozy wine & cocktail bar - expect a carefully curated selection of drinks soundtracked with the best funk & soul.

The food was so good we went twice in one week. Perfect small plates. Save room for desert!!!! Our first experience was a week night and service was excellent, and a bit less on a very crowded weekend. Reservations are a Must for the weekend!

Warmly greeted and seated. Service attentive. Cocktails to start. Excellent menu; food served in waves so always hot. Great vibes. Been here a few times - have never been disappointed. We’ll be back soon.

This was our first experience of the Black Grape and we were incredibly impressed with the whole evening! Food fantastic, lively and vibrant atmosphere, and wonderful staff, everyone was fabulous...thank you, we'll be back next time we're in Edinburgh!!

Incredible restaurant with a modern take on traditional local cuisine. Great value and small plates for the entire table to enjoy. The cocktail list is another high point as they use ingredients you would never think to use at home but executed perfectly. A definite spot for those that want to explore the local cuisine without traditional stigmas.

This is our first trip to Edinburgh, and we were delighted to find The Black Grape. The food was exceptionally well prepared and presented. We loved the flavors of everything we had. The scallops, olives, hummus and arancini were particularly delicious. We look forward to dining at The Black Grape on our next trip to Edinburgh.
