At Ocean House, our classic American Bistro menu invites guests and visitors to enjoy casual, seasonally inspired dishes. Available for breakfast, lunch and dinner in The Bistro, Bar and Lounge, and in the members-only Club Room and Club Terrace, the Bistro menu offers traditional brasserie fare with a New England flavor. Begin your morning with inspired breakfast classics, fresh pastries or a colorful spread inspired by the season’s bounty. For lunch and dinner, a selection of starters and entrees are simply prepared and presented, with an emphasis on fresh local meats and sustainable seafood.

A classic American brasserie menu with an emphasis on featured seasonal ingredients and traditional club specialty items including grilled meats and inspired sides.

Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are subject to a $5 per person cancellation fee.

Join us in the Bistro for a wonderful Thanksgiving's Day meal. We present to you a Prix Fixe menu, where you will have a selection for both appetizer and entree courses. Following entrees, a plated dessert will be presented to the table. A sommelier's beverage selection menu will be available as well as our wine list. A $25 per chair non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking and will be applied towards your final check; a deposit is due for guests of all ages. Adults $95 & Children aged 4-12 $45. Children aged 3 and under are complimentary but should be included in your party size at time of booking.

Very disappointed with this visit. Huge decline from what this place once was 10 years ago. I was a regular customer to this restaurant and to all the special events offered then. I live close to the 2 casinos in CT and Ocean House was our respite to get quality food, good ambient and especially good service from their caring staffs. I came back a couple of weeks ago to attend the home coming chef event was very satisfied with everything. I said to myself that it's nice to be home again at Ocean House after a long hiatus. I was wrong after last night's visit at the Bistro. The waiter was especially bad because he doesn't know your own products, can't serve or pour wine properly, etc. Last night's event was just a disaster. Now I'm looking for a go to place in Newport, and to find place where quality is of the highest level of importance. C. R. Hong

When paying the room rates at The Ocean House, I expected the dinner to be something very special. Instead, dinner was just OK. The two halibut dishes were not as hot as they should have been; this was also true of the short ribs dish. Some of the carrots on the halibut dish were undercooked. The mussels dish was good but very small-portioned. Flavors were acceptable. As I indicated in my rating, the service was outstanding. Wait-staff was clearly well-trained, pleasant, responsive and professional.

We had the prix fixe Westerly Wednesday menu. A great variety of offerings and everything was delicious! Our server was wonderful - attentive, knowledgeable, and gracious. We will go again soon.

Terrific window seat for Sunday Jazz brunch. Menu is excellent with lots of “add ins”, which takes the bite out of the fixed price. Service was attentive and friendly, we did not feel rushed. After brunch we sat in the lobby and listened to the three piece jazz combo. Lovely way to end the meal.

We had a FABULOUS experience as always!! My husband did a Scotch tasting at Ocean House prior to us enjoying dinner there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was spot-on perfectly cooked and the service was over the top!

The brunch at the Ocean House was lovely, but there were a few things that tainted our experience. It was advertised as a “Jazz Brunch” and indeed, Jazz was playing in the lobby of the inn, but you could not hear the music during the brunch at all. This was very disappointing. Also, as far as we could see, there was only valet parking available, but it was a $5 charge. This was communicated to me, but not my sister who arrived in a separate vehicle. Then, at the end of our meal, we confirmed the cost with our server and were told that yes, indeed, it was $5 for the first 3 hours and $25 afterwards! At this point we were waiting for our check and had been there just about 3 hours. We were not charged extra, but it really would’ve ruined our experience if we were. I think a) they should not charge for valet if there is no other option b) they should clearly communicate the charges to every guest. That being said, the service was top notch and the food was delicious.

Honestly it was just OK. Every dish was average and not seasoned well. I wish I had more to say, but an experience at roughly $100pp should be considerably better.
