We had a wonderful meal and drinks here. Beautiful decor and ambience, I had the fish special of the day which was delicious and had great presentation. Staff are friendly and chatty and very helpful with any dietary requirements too. Good selection of local drinks options. 5 stars!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Brown's. We decided to forego a starter and have nibbles instead. These consisted of sourdough bread, really good olives, and some very nice oil and salt on the side. We enjoyed these very much. I had the special which was a provencal stew with hake, and it really was excellent. The fish was extremely fresh and the flavour of the broth was lovely. It came with sauted potatoes and green beans on the side. Every element was delicious. My husband had a minute steak, very good chips, and a side salad. He enjoyed his meal very much as well. Service was excellent and the environment quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Lovely fish special and great value for money.

Very disappointed with our meal. We had Jougons of Fish , which were very dry, obviously overcooked, served with tons of French fries and what can only be described as, a ramekin dish full of hot water with peas in. You had to strain the peas out with your fork. Certainly not value for the prices charged

Poor food - had beef bougignon which which tasted overwhelmingly of vinegar and beef was very dry, also fish goujons which must have been cooked from frozen - tasteless!

Fabulous place. Food was fantastic we both had venison which was delicious. We could take the dogs. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff member who was on her own but you wouldn’t have known. Would definitely return if we are in Dartmouth again

Nice restaurant and waitress. Food lovely. The only thing we were a little disappointed with was the fact that when we booked through open table it asked if there was a specific occasion. It was our anniversary and it wasn't mentioned. Not a big thing but...
