The Birdham at Bembridge aims to serve the best food using local produce throughout our menu.

Our pub is made up of many areas, so we can cater for all types of occasions. We have snug quiet areas, large function areas and everything in between.

Our kitchen team is lead by head chef, Rob McLean, who is passionate about creating traditional dishes with a unique twist.

We had a late lunch with two friends and neither of us had eaten at the Birdham before. We were all pleasantly surprised. We were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our table. We were offered to sit in the restaurant which was quiet but roomy and bright. Our drinks were brought whilst we pondered over the great choice of menu. Food arrived on hot plates and all dishes were plentiful and tasty. All staff were attentive without being intrusive. Lovely dining experience thank you.

Really nice Sunday lunch. Very good attentive service. Would definitely recommend the carvery.

This has to be the most amazing place I have ever been not only was the food absolutely beautiful the staff was outstanding I was her as I was married earlier today and they bought out the most beautiful gesture I have ever seen they went the extra mile to make it special and I can not thank them enough I would 100 per cent recommend this restaurant again thank you so much

Good pub food with a standard menu and a la carte additions. Friendly and competent staff coping admirably with a pretty much full house tonight.

Unfortunately not a great experience here. Food took over 1 hour to arrive, it was ok when it got here. Desserts were very poor quality (particularly the pavlova.) Old- fashioned inside and quite stuffy in atmosphere. Very over priced for the quality of the food. Lovely, friendly waitress, who was the best thing about the place. We had a free meal and round of drinks, a shame as I’d have happily paid full price.

My wife and I were very disappointed at the quality of the meat. Everything looked very good but my wife’s pork was tough and my beef was also tough. Both of us left most of our meat. The vegetables were generally OK for a carvery. Service and ambiance were very good. We have eaten at the Birdham frequently in the past and it has been OK but today was a big disappointment.

Good choice of pub style food with one or two less common dishes. Atmosphere is a little bland but then the live music started, accompanied by a well oiled hen party. Fortunately, we were nearly finished.

Our first visit to Birdham, the food and service were very good . Our waiter was dealing with everyone in the Chart room he was very good but did seem rather busy. Thank you.
