Positioned in the heart of Old Town Toronto at Church and Front Streets, The Berczy is set to redefine the casual fine dining experience, blending contemporary Canadian/American cuisine with Mediterranean influences. With plans for a comprehensive cocktail program, extensive wine list, and a vibrant piano bar, The Berczy is poised for a grand opening in summer 2024 and aims to become a cornerstone in Toronto's dining scene.

    The overall experience was fantastic! The braised short rib was absolutely to die for, and the seabream fillet was excellent as well. We also tried the rib eye, but it wasn’t very juicy and could have used some salt and pepper—I’d rate it a 7/10. The cocktails were delicious, perfectly crafted. Unfortunately, the espresso chocolate cake was very dry and quite disappointing. The decor and ambiance are both lovely, and the staff was warm and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back to try their brunch!

    Whether it's for business or a nice night out, the Berczy is ideal with its more laid back ambience in the bar/lounge and a bit more upscale feeling in the dining room. It's an elegant and beautiful space yet still feels cozy and welcoming. I'd attribute that to the excellent staff who are attentive (but not cloyingly so) and friendly. They remember guests' preferences, make solid recommendations and are always pleasant. No matter how busy the place gets, you never feel rushed. Needless to say, the food is the main reason to visit, and Chef Michael Angeloni and his team don't disappoint. The seasonal menu is exceptional - innovative but not inaccessible - fresh and flavourful. Their bartenders also make a great martini amongst other creative cocktails. There really is something for everyone at the Berczy.

    Always a good experience from the friendly reception to the amazing wait staff. Add on to that a great meal with food cooked to perfection with a great wine list and bar selection and amazing ambiance. It’s pretty hard not to have a great time.

    We came here before going to a show with 3 kids, the staff was sooo incredibly good with the kids. The food was outstanding. The cocktails were exceptional! I highly recommend!

    Fantastic food and service throughout the night. Well-crafted menu with a knowledge waiter that offered advice and suggestions. The atmosphere was great and not too noisy, loved the piano in the corner. Will definitely come back again.
