    Lovely evening at the Bell. Very good service. Everyone enjoyed their starters: cheese dumplings and garlic mushrooms to start, though not so keen on the salmon mousse. Mains were excellent. The pie of the day was delicious, as was the chicken en croute. Seafood curry was tasty. It was great to be given a coeliac menu but is was very limited. Luckily I was able to find something to order. However, overall very good and will return.

    It's usually a five star review as we do love this place, but this last visit not as much. I ordered the garlic mushroom to start as when I had it last time it was 'to die for' - this time the sauce wasn't the same, so lack of consistency. Dessert was a sundae which was good, but nothing special. Will go back as perhaps it was one of those days.

    I went for the pie as I’ve had it before, the pastry is fantastic and it’s packed full with meat. Others went for the crispy cheese dumplings. Both are excellent signature dishes.

    Lovely Sunday Lunch, not many places serve a Sunday Lunch throughout the afternoon into early evening. We booked for 6.15pm so a few of the roast options were not available but that was fine with us, they had what we wanted.

    Always enjoy a Sunday roast here with friends Our only issue seems to happen every time, so 3 people order the lamb and they only bring 1 tiny little pot of mint sauce For three people who all have lamb! It’s the same if three people order beef only I little pot of horseradish even when you ask when they take your order just one pot comes it’s quite ridiculous. The four of us really enjoyed our wonderful dinners tho.

    The three of us had Roast Dinner, the meat was very tasty, as was the vegetables, the roast potatoes were a little hard in the middle and needed to be cooked a little more but overall very nice.

    2nd visit for food at The Bell Inn, cannot fault anything! Front of house staff are friendly and accommodating, and the pub itself is warm and cosy. The food itself was brilliant - pub classics with a twist, and the portion sizing is definitely value for money. 5 stars!
