The Bell Inn has always been an important part of Kersey– a hub for the community throughout the years. More than that, however, we’re a destination pub, too. People travel from far and wide to eat and drink at our establishment, and we take pride in welcoming one and all and we are also dog friendly. Located in the historic village of Kersey two miles north of Hadleigh, The Bell Inn is the perfect place to drop into whilst taking in its picturesque surroundings and lovely country walks. We’ve ample parking space to accommodate your trip and our home-cooked meals are bound to impress yourself and your guests.

The Bell Inn has vastly improved under new ownership. Food delicious and staff were very attentive, offering the best service we have seen in a restaurant for quite a while. Would highly recommend a visit to this wonderful pub set in one of the prettiest villages in Suffolk, which also featured in the film ‘The Magpie Murders’. John & Barbara Cole

This is the third time I have been here and certainly won’t be the last. The food is lovely and the sirloin beef is epic!

Having enjoyed dining at the Kersey Bell before, I was disappointed this time. The food was moderate (we were not asked how we would like the burgers cooked) and the service was slow

The menu looked good but haloumi was undercooked, T bone pork very dry and the so called roesti potatoes were an oblong of solid poor tasting material and nothing like roesti. Banoffee tart was not warmed up enough again presumably from frozen and unappetising. A real shame as good used to be good.

From arrival to leaving we had such a lovely time.. water for our dog after a walk over from Hadleigh, drinks and Sunday roast with some visiting friends was insanely delicious... All of us loved it.. staff were really friendly and helpful and service was great.. we can't wait to come back..

Pros: mains were delicious!! Steak was amazing!! Lovely atmosphere and timely service. Cons: the outside benches were really uncomfortable to sit on, my tea wasn’t hot and the pot was dirty. Otherwise all good and wouldn’t put me off going again I just would rather eat inside as would be more comfortable.

Lovely pub with attentive staff and a nice ambience. Nothing was too much trouble and the meals were excellent.
