Not as good as it used to be - perhaps as it was the first time having Sunday roast whereas we normally have dinner - shame

Visited for the first time with friends and it did not disappoint. Great food and really attentive staff who constantly checked on us for drinks. Food was delicious, great presentation too. We were there on a Sunday so had the roast. We didn't have dessert but spotted them being delivered to other tables and they looked good. We will definitely go back. The outside space was also lovely overlooking the pond. We were also offered blankets if we got cold. Great place.

Nice ambience. Staff were very courteous and friendly. Food didn’t live up to expectations.

We came here for the first time for my partner’s birthday and had an absolutely amazing dinner. Everything was superb, the cheese soufflé was the standout item amongst a meal of delicious dishes. The cocktails and wine selection were great too. The pub itself is cosy, beautifully decorated and the service was exceptional. The manager was very welcoming and clearly passionate about food! Hands down the best gastropub within a significant radius and we are already planning a return visit!

Haven’t been for years. The service was excellent, as was the ambience. The food was incredible, particularly the stuffed chicken and chocolate fondant! We’ll be visiting again soon!

I have eaten at The Belgian Arms a number of times this year, with various friends. The food is always good and correctly cooked and presented - in fact we feel that this is one of the best gastro-pubs in the area... which is why we keep coming back.

What brought down the experience was the service and menu options. Beautiful pub with a big outside section overlooking a pond with ducks so my toddler loved it and the ambience was great especially on a 27 degree summers day. However I had checked the website which had multiple sample menus including the main menu; Sunday menu and a kids menu. Thought this would be a great option as we booked for a birthday lunch with multiple food preferences including dairy and soya allergies. Turned out that on Sundays they only have the set menu of either 2 or 3 courses, most other places would still have their main menu as an option or at least you could chose to only have 1 course. Personally our family never eats more than one course going out and especially now with cost of living etc. It was a bit disappointing not to have options and to almost be forced to pay so much. The food was good (bar the Yorkshire puddings which were extremely oily) and they accommodated the allergies. Service was not good (bar the manager/owner who was trying his best to get to everyone, think he was working the hardest - we got checked on once during our meal otherwise every time we needed something we had to go find someone and they also forgot one of the desserts. I'll be back but likely only for a drink and snack (maybe) outside and I'll order from the bar.
