The Beetle and Wedge Boathouse is tucked away, and perfectly positioned on the most stunning part of the River Thames. The setting is like no other riverside venue which means you can switch off, unwind, and enjoy your precious time with us. The Beetle has played a huge part in many lives over the years and is steeped in literature history, from the Wind in the Willows, to Three Men in a Boat and not forgetting HG Well’s Mr Polly it has truly fascinated all that have discovered its true beauty. Our owner, Ben, has ensured that its character and charm has remained while adding his own magical touch.

A very good birthday late lunch. We were very well looked after. Though we were not very adventurous with our food choices , what we had was good and tasty. Thanks.

I have stopped here on a few occasions while passing on my boat and everyone has been well worth it. Friendly staff and a perfect location. Quality of the food is top notch and plan to come again and again.

Seriously the best roast we have had in years... beautifully presented freshly cooked just delicious tbh the service was also fantastic We met family here, it's an hour each way but well worth it
