The Beetle and Wedge Boathouse is tucked away, and perfectly positioned on the most stunning part of the River Thames. The setting is like no other riverside venue which means you can switch off, unwind, and enjoy your precious time with us. The Beetle has played a huge part in many lives over the years and is steeped in literature history, from the Wind in the Willows, to Three Men in a Boat and not forgetting HG Well’s Mr Polly it has truly fascinated all that have discovered its true beauty. Our owner, Ben, has ensured that its character and charm has remained while adding his own magical touch.

This was our fourth visit in as many weeks. We brought some friends along and enjoyed the Sunday roast in one of the 'pod', taking in the atmosphere and views. Our friends were as impressed as we were with our first visit, and I believe they are looking to book for this coming Thursday.

We always love our visits to the Beetle & Wedge. The staff are amazing and the food wonderful.

fantastic meal and a great time with friendly service. My partner who is gluten & dairy intolerant had a great time enjoying the experience & options on the menu . It’s a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful setting and definitely 💯 worth a visit .

We booked a room and dinner for our first wedding anniversary. The room, the riverside lodge, was a converted garage next to the staff quarters. The staff were noisy at night. The table was booked for 7pm, once seated we were informed we had 30 minutes until the kitchen closed. We had a rushed 3 course meal in just over a hour, whilst breakfast was laid around us. My wife was disappointed with her meal and chose not to eat it. This cost me over £300, we will not be returning.

A very good birthday late lunch. We were very well looked after. Though we were not very adventurous with our food choices , what we had was good and tasty. Thanks.
