We are a working family farm that offers country quiet and rural beauty, along with sophisticated dining and unparalleled comfort.

Peace Hill Farm, owned by writer and historian Susan Wise Bauer, is a hundred-acre family farm that raises rare Leicester Longwool sheep, Angora goats, ducks, and chickens.

Our Afternoon Tea & Light Lunch offers you soup, finger sandwiches, sweets, scones, and pastries--plus tea or coffee, of course, along with a full wine list. Linger as long as you like, looking out over working farmland and sheep pastures; add a farm tour with our compliments; eat indoors or out (in nice weather, under the trees; in colder months, in front of the fireplace). Stay as long as you like, breathe deep, and enjoy.

Afterwards, browse our farm store! We produce fiber (fleeces, rovings, and beautifully finished yarns) plus lambs, kids, and free-range duck and chicken eggs.

      The food and service were excellent! The location is a house not a typical restaurant- so be prepared for that detail. It was a lovely experience!

      Delicious Sunday lunch, with perfect weather, and wonderful wine pairings. Our host Susan, who is also the owner, made us feel welcome throughout, and did a wonderful job of explaining the wines paired with each course. Highly recommend.

      What a fabulous experience! I took my daughter and granddaughter for tea and we got an education on how the English experience their tea and absolutely loved every minute. No detail was left undone from the beautiful china, lovely table linens, delicate silver spoons and the array of beautiful and delicious tea sandwiches and scones. The hostess was a true delight. We are looking forward to our next trip.

      We always love afternoon tea at Peace Hill Farm. The food is fresh and delicious! Louise is amazing! Highly recommend!

      Sunday luncheon sourced directly from the farm was amazing. Most tender and flavorful chicken served alongside a mildly sweet and tangy goat cheese on fields greens. Slow roasted pork saturated with flavor and yet there it was-pork that had to have been handled with much love. Sweet green peas and oven roasted potatoes with a smoky kick. The setting couldn’t have been more atmospheric. Rustic, yet elegant and refined. Loved the experience. Can’t wait to come back.

      This was a lovely lunch. We enjoyed the outside seating and the view. The food and wine were absolutely delicious. Such a nice and relaxing afternoon!!! Would definitely do it again!!!

      The setup was lovely. Atmosphere was peaceful. The food and tea was delicious. The hostess was great. We enjoyed talking to her. A total relaxing and enjoyable time. Tho grounds were very nice. I highly recommend this. I plan to return for tea and lunch again. And also tour the farm.
