A surprising disappointment. Jose' Andres is, no question, a great chef but he seems to have abandoned the roots of fine Spanish and Basque cuisine. I use his cookbooks often. But the menu at "Bazaar" has little in common with them. One dish says it all. The "Spanish Octopus". On the plus side, the octopus was cooked perfectly. It was combined with fried potatoes, and chorizo .. OK. But then it sits in a glop of "potato espuma". Unattractive and unnecessary. The espuma detracts from the dish. This tendency to deconstruct is going too far. Read the menu entry for the Spanish potato tortilla and you'll see what I mean. The staff could be better trained. Greeters were fine, Everyone was very friendly. But service skills could be better. As an example: a couple at the table next to ours was being served the wine pairing. The sommelier kept going on and on about her experience in Morocco. She was standing right at my left shoulder and her voice made it all but impossible for me to carry on a conversation with my wife.

Stopped by for lunch, ended up with more than just a drink and one dish. Excellent service. Portions could be more generous, just tiny bit.

We opted to dine a la carte and were happy with our choices! I can’t remember them all but the tuna cones, chicken wings, oxtail fritters and octopus were highlights. Everything from the beautiful ambiance to the spectacular service and the wonderful food was exactly what I would expect from a Jose Andres restaurant. I am so glad we went while visiting DC.

Food and service was excellent. Wife recently found out she was pregnant. The staff went out of their way to accommodate and make recommendations. They really made the meal special. Our waiter Daniel was excellent.

Excellent dining experience. The waitstaff and the sommelier were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The wine recommendation was phenomenal. The food was amazing. Everything was delicious.

Wow. The prie fixe menu at lunch has got to be one of the best values in town. Fantastic and gorgeous food.

Garrett - server - incredibly professional, personal, respectful, and non-invasive. Food - beyond words, outstanding is an understatement. Alexis - manager - gracious upon interaction with us at the end of the evening. Can’t find more superlatives to properly give justice.
