Welcome to the The Bav and The Tav at Bavarian Inn; a world of taste sensations that are sure to please every palate. Our beautiful and cozy restaurant is nestled in the quaint hamlet of Bragg Creek, Alberta in the foothills of the spectacular Rocky Mountains. The Bav continues to be dining at its best and The Tav is the same; a bit more casual - biking, hiking - all good as long as you're hungry!

We are proud to say The Bavarian Inn Restaurant has been serving guests for over 40 years and will continue!

Restaurant reservation "no show" fees are critical to reducing the number of "no-shows" and their impact on our business. Please note that we have a "no-show" fee policy in place, if you fail to show up for your booking without contacting the restaurant to cancel or reschedule, the fee is $50. For parties of 12 guests or more, please note that if any of your guests fail to arrive and do not cancel, the fee is $50/person.

The Share Plates are fabulous. Perfect for a lunch or dinner. Especially when meeting up with old friends!

Service was good and friendly. Pickerel was excellent. My wife ordered schnitzel which was good and hot as well. Vegetables, Spätzle and mushroom sauce barely lukewarm. Server went to chef and he said no that’s the way it is. Apparently vegetables are in a warming tray and when taken from the top they of course are not hot. Eaten here many many times over twenty years. Was shocked by the chefs attitude. Pay a lot of money here and at least the food should be hot.

The food was so delicious and Nadia who served us, was the most amazing Hostess, so kind and attentive and truly made my friends and I feel welcomed. I can’t wait to go back and sample some of the other dishes that I couldn’t try today.

Excellent meal at the BavTav! The sausage trio appetizer was awesome. Every loved their meals, service was spot on! Great evening!

The best authentic German around! They even correctly pronounce Spatzle! My grandma used to make rouladen all the time and it was my favorite. This dish certainly comes close and warms my heart. We love celebrating our anniversary here. Thanks again!!

Amazing food, wine and service in a very beautiful setting. Highly recommend coming here for a locally sourced menu. The elk medallions and chanterelles mushrooms were outstanding.
