In the heart of Culloden Moor set just of the atmospheric Culloden Battlefield, we are committed to bringing great food, wine, whisky, beer and even cocktails to all that we have the privilege of serving. The Battlefield Bar & Restaurant is created out of a passion to address the needs of the local community along with offering tourists the chance to taste some amazing Scottish food, it serves as a great drinking and dining destination that boasts a vibrant yet relaxed setting. Modern, seasonal and fresh, the menu features an inventive range of Scottish favourites as well as a few signature dishes.

We were visiting the Inverness area and ate at the Battlefield Bar & Restaurant twice as we liked it so much. Very friendly and open atmosphere. The food arrived nice and hot and tasted great. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Great place for a relaxing, casual dinner.

We arrived to a genuine warm welcome, I had scampi then apple tart both were superb, service was excellent and the background music great, nice easy listening.

Conflicting information given when arrived at the restaurant. The waitress who greeted us said there is only Sunday Roast for today, whilst the waiter taking our drinks order said they have a limited menu. Once we ordered our food, it wasn’t long before it arrived. Most of my party was very disappointed due to the fact the food turned up cold apart from the scampi! We had to send the food back. When it did come back out the food was now warm but the roast potatoes had seen better days. They were black and chewy like they had been sitting under a heated lamp for sometime. Once we finished our main, a few of us wanted desserts. This took some time as nobody came to ask us if we wanted anything else. I had to ask a member of staff that was behind the bar! Overall a disappointing visit.

First time visiting the Battlefield Bar And Restaurant and was delighted with the whole experience from booking a table, staff attending and food quality. The Sunday roast was amazing and the child’s beef burger went down a treat, will definitely be back.

First time at the Battlefield Restaurant since it’s wonderful refurbishment. We had great service, totally yummy food all in a lovely setting, we also tried the bar out afterwards which was done up very nicely with a variety of lovely comfy couches and bar tables / stools, we’ll be back, thank you

Our second visit since the new opening - absolutely wonderful experience both times - food delicious and hospitality shown was perfect. Highly recommended.

Food was excellent but not a lot of choice. Were doing Sunday roasts but reduced the number of other options. Also, they were running out of dishes as the evening went on.

When anyone books for a Sunday they are made very aware that we do not offer a full menu so I am unsure how you are confused... And as for running out we did over 100 serves during lunch which with the best will in the world we could not anticipate due to so many walk ins and as a newly opened business we still need to gauge how much support we are going to get, but one thing is we certainly cannot afford to have huge amounts of stock that may end up perishing should we not be able to sell out. But thank you for your feedback

Staff were very helpful and polite. We were so looking forward to eating in the restaurant.we waited 35 mins for our starters to arrive and another35 minutes for our main courses.the restaurant was not that busy.the meal was not as good as we expected. It was not good value for the money we paid. I have worked in catering for over40 years, I have never seen such slow food service. Sorry to day we will not be returning.

This was our 4th time eating at the battlefield restaurant, and we have yet to have anything to complain about the food we received! Everything is always very tasty. We didn’t have the Sunday roast but I was keenly watching the plates going out and it looked and smelled amazing. Service was much slicker than previous times, so my overall opinion is a very new venture who are doing very well and finding their feet. Only wee suggestion I have, maybe make a bit more of the desserts, the chocolate brownie sounded delish but sold out quite quickly. So pleased to have this on our doorstep and will visit many more times.
