We went to the Baskerville for a family meal. The food was nicely cooked and not overdone, the garden much improved and really pleasant to sit out in, and the food came out quite quickly. Will definitely come back

A Saturday lunch so the place was not busy but we had a great meal and service was good.

Screaming kids, dogs running around. I told staff I am GF but I was served soup with bread. The food was taken away and returned. I’m sorry but we don’t have GF bread. It’s very obvious that the establishment are not aware of GF requirements and need to be trained.

Lovely ambience and good service. My lunch was great but friends had too much bread/chips but they chose it off the menu. Generally very good experience

Steaks for what charges are delicious but minuscule and seem over priced for the size of the can portion Came away still feeling hungry!

Our first visit to The Baskerville since its relaunch. We used to be regular visitors pre-Covid. The extensive refurbishment has brought the Baskerville up to date and it is a nice pub aesthetically. The staff were friendly, but the service was a bit lackluster. No offer of water for the table, no salt & pepper (until requested) and a long wait between requesting for additional bread with the starters and it its eventual arrival. Other tables had their food delivered and had to wait for cutlery to arrive while their meals cooled on the table. The food was average 'pub grub' and not to the standard it used to be under Kevin Hannah's time running The Baskerville. The menu was predominantly "something with chips" and the chips when they came were very uniform and looked like oven chips. To sum up, a nice pub to pop in for a drink with friendly staff, but not somewhere to make a bee line for if you fancy something to eat that you couldn't knock up yourself at home.

Really enjoyed our evening at the Baskerville. Great atmosphere, friendly and efficient service and a wide variety of pub food options available. I ate the moules frites which were excellent.
