The food comes out very quickly. Our entree and mains came out within 5 minutes of each other. Great location and atmosphere. Chicken and mushroom dish was delicious Pate was good But…. The gnocchi dish was served with corn. Weird. Salad was undressed and felt like an open pack from Coles Carrot dish was ok. Carrots needed more time in the oven. White wine was room temperature Too many waiters serving so were constantly interrupted

Perfect place before a show in The Fairfax with no need to rush from a restaurant blocks away . Delicious share - food menu , beautifully presented and just right for a light ,early dinner with a glass of quality Australian wine . Friendly efficient staff and a lovely atmosphere.

We had an early dinner prior to attending a concert and the staff could not have been more helpful. We also had some food sensitivities which our waiter immediately explored with the kitchen and he came back and offered some variations to a number of the dishes on the menu to accommodate those sensitivities. The food was delicious and all of the waiting staff were helpful and responsive. Highly recommended.

Very handy to theatre precinct. Service was good and staff friendly, accommodating and efficient. Food was good but my fellow diners would have liked the option of some ‘mash’ or other potato side to accompany the veal saltimbocca, sweet and sour barramundi and chicken dishes. ‘Fries’ are an option but not really suited to the dishes mentioned or my fellow diners. Main meal servings are small and require several sides as extras to balance.

Have visited Barre a number of times for a pre show dinner. The food is always tasty and the staff are exceptionally helpful, pleasant and friendly. Well done.

I'm a regular at Barre - always great-show service. Food is delicious, designed for sharing and perfect for fast service. And, the drink list never fails to provide something for everyone. Casual but energetic vibe!

We obviously expected more. It’s more of a bistro than a high end restaurant. The food is underwhelming. We passed by many times endnote the past and were very impressed with the fittings. They actually don’t reflect the food or the service. Our booking was an hour and a half before the show. We ordered one main and one side to share. We didn’t have time to order desert (which I was hoping to be better than the meal). That says it at….

Waiter did not know the menu and could not explain the items that we asked about. 2 waiters stood chatting and depsite me waving and calling out, did not hear me nor were aware of what was happeniogn around them. Poor service overall. And do not try the Curry gnocchi with corn - a horroble meal! The menu was very limitetd for those who didn't want big chunks of meat.
