Attended on recommendation & our first evening meal at The Barn Kitchen. Could have had a bigger variety for main courses. Very disappointed with the chicken tikka flat bread, very dry & hardly any sauce.

The burgers were overcooked and dry and so were the koftas. Altogether a disappointing experience

PMF has truly become one of Great Missenden’s standout attractions. I recently visited and had an absolutely wonderful time. The food was scrumptious and beautifully presented, but most importantly, it tasted amazing. I paired my visit with a "pick your own" activity. It was such a fun experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend a visit to PMF for both its delicious food and delightful activities.

The staff were so helpful and pleasant. We had our dog with us and he barked at another dog at the next table so we were reseated by the kind waitress in a quiet corner an all was well. It's a lovely place to sit and eat - we booked for outside. My main dislike was the menu. There was little choice and a lot of dishes which were basicall variations on bread - i.e. pizza or flat bread or similar. It was difficult to choose a light lunch which wasn't one of these dishes. The food was very expensive - almost £20 for what was actually a thick piece of flat bread with some grilled chicken pieces and salad (leaves, not mixed salad which I would have preferred). There was plenty of bread but not so much of anything else, including dressing. It was dry.

The perfect venue for a lazy Summer lunch - outside but in the shade! The service was friendly and efficient and the food was fantastic. The freshly blended juices were delicious and refreshing and the burgers (and chips) tasty and perfectly cooked. My friend said her meringue was really good and you will not taste a better chocolate brownie (have it warmed with ice cream and caramel sauce). Trust me … I have eaten a lot of brownies!!

We went to Peterley Farm to pick some strawberries and buy plants, we also discovered their cafe. Booking advised as it gets busy due to it being a lovely place with good food. We had a couple of options from the breakfast menu with teas and coffees and all were really tasty, they arrived quickly and our server (Jo) was attentive, polite and efficient. Both indoor and outdoor seating all of which is dog friendly. Will definitely be back again.
