First the bartender was excellent! She was attentive and quick. Very prompt and pleasant as she knew we were a bit grumpy from our hostess experience. So about that. The hostess was MIA - we waited 10 minutes because no one else could seat us. A wait person tried. We were very hungry. When hostess finally arrived - she was dour, unapologetic and informed us we would have to wait. Fortunately the super competent bartender made up for the rough start. Food was good and well paced.

I was looking was a nice place with great food to have dinner and I found it! Williamstown a doesn’t have much, other than it is a beautiful little college town and it has The Barn. Love love love. James was amazing!!! Definitely going to come back every time I visit my daughter at Williams College.

The food was exceptional. I had the Grilled Scottish Salmon which was very good although the broth was a bit too liquid and could have used a spoon for it. My partner had the Rib Eye Cap which looked and smelled wonderful. He said it was very tasty. Our drinks were very good too.

The Barn has become a favorite spot. Good food, a nice Negroni, and a wonderful staff. Diana, our frequent server, is super.

The food is just OK, but the setting and atmosphere are very nice. We had a gathering to catch with a friend we hadn't seen in a long time and sat comfortably at our table for a couple of hours at lunch. No o e rushed 7s at all.

Loved our server! Jessy was wonderful. Personable yet professional. Felt like a friend we were just meeting for the first time. Nice room and ambiance. Food was disappointing. Undercooked potatoes with their Tuna Niçoise Salad and soupy spring risotto with broth just sitting on the bottom of the bowl. Nice wine list. Probably not return.

I have had many perfectly fine meals at The Barn, but dinner last night included two steaks deeply overcooked. I hope it was an aberration or a new grill master.

Not much variety on the menu. Chicken was overcooked. Wine list curation is weak to non-existent.
