This was a nice surprise in Williamstown, in a nicely designed restaurant. The space felt intimate but spacious. Service was prompt and helpful although our wait staff was not too familiar with the menu items. I gave this lower marks because the online menu and printed menu both had discontinued items on them - and the server didn't even inform us when ordering that some items had been replaced by specials and no long available. So it wasn't until I actually ordered that I found out that both appetizer and entrees top choices were no longer on the menu. How hard is it to reprint menus that are current? Or just manually cross out items that aren't available? Very simple and easy to do! This wasn't a new change either...The SAME thing happened with dessert. I ordered my top choice only to hear "Oh sorry, that dish is also discontinued and replaced with X!" No excuse for servers not being informed or menus being updated. I overheard other tables get the same excuse!! Otherwise, food was tasty and service responsive. We had an 8pm reservation and the restaurant was very quiet at that time with only a few other tables seated. I imagine the hard surfaces would created more background noise during peak dinner hour.

Our server was friendly and super helpful in describing the summer menu. Ambiance is relaxed and welcoming. The Tuscan Thighs appetizer was amazing and the rest of the meal was delicious.

One of the best meals I've had in a while. The Tuscan Thighs appetizer was spectacular, the duck leg comfit and the apple tart dessert great. My wife liked the beef salad but was not impressed with the veggie burger, but then again what do you expect from a veggie burger. Cocktails were meh. The old fashioned and the margarita were okay at best. Service was very friendly but not quite on top of things. Asked for an extra fork, ended up grabbing one ourselves from the neighbor table. Asked to see the wine list again but didn't arrive until the main course was almost finished. Rating is solely based on quality of the food.

Excellent selection of appetizers and entrees. The Allen Brothers steak and French fries were outstanding, as was the short ribs. The bartender knows how to make a tasty Old Fashion. The proximity to the Clarke Museum made for a wonderful two day stay, and being near Lenox and Sturbridge.
