Quick dinner with friend prior to show at Allenberry Playbouse. Both had Caesar salads and split big order of fries—tasty. Excellent service. Nice setting.

This was our 1st dinner at the Barn at Allenberry. We had been there with a group years ago, served in The Tasting Room, and it was a lunch. That memory was great, and the privacy of the room was just perfect. We had our most recent meal in the main room just inside from the deck. I had the Onion soup, but unfortunately it wasn't the best I've had. It showed well, but there were 2 rather large pieces of bay leaves in the soup, which was an unexpected shock to my mouth. Sharp and brittle. I simple removed them and carried on, however it left an impression. Our meals were good. My wife had the Maryland Crab Cakes and I had the Filet Mignon Medallions. The crab cakes said lump crab, but there was a lot of filler. The flavor was good overall. The filet medallions was great, cooked medium rare, it was very tender and flavorful.

Allenberry is midway between our home and my brother’s so we eat here several times a year. Last night where my wife and I celebrated our anniversary with them was another delightful meal. We requested a table on the porch which provided beautiful views and an event or two going on below. Service was exceptional and the food was superb. Lobster tortilini, skirt steak and cheesy grits were outstanding.

We had a great brunch celebrating a birthday and wedding anniversary with friends from out of town. Food was delicious. Great burger, salad and truffle fries were yummy. Our server Brooke was wonderful. My only suggestion is add more lunch items, the brunch menu is heavily loaded with breakfast items and we were seated at 1230.

We had brunch at Allenberry this past Sunday. Food was great, the music was fantastic and our waitress, Lexi, was amazing! Very nice young lady with very nice customer service. She will go far!

Front desk staff are horrible. They treat you like you don’t have a reservation, and when you ask to be outside tell you they can’t seat you there. Manager then says, oh no, we can seat you there, it’s just for people without a reservation we sit there first. I am like but we don’t care if it’s hot out and have no problem sitting outside. Then, the server breaks her nail and shakes when trying to uncork our wine bottle. Tells us this is her first time, which is fine, but where’s the training. The real whammy is when the most expensive meal on the menu, filet medallions, comes out tasting like a salt lick!!! This is ridiculous and when we tell the waitress, nothing is done about it. This place needs a complete revamp in service and consistency of food. Not happy, as this was our five year anniversary date.
