The Barley Mow Mayfair on Duke Street, is the newest of the Cubitt House group's pubs. Chef Director Ben Tish and Head Chef Chris Fordham-Smith will be bringing classic British dishes to your plate with a carvery element to the menu too. You will find a baked Alaska on the menu, alongside many other staples including a strong selection of fine cheese from Neil's Yard Dairy. The intimate restaurant also features a semi-private area separated with a curtain, which is perfect for up to 20 guests to celebrate a more private celebration or business meeting.

Terrific all the way around, quiet on a Saturday lunchtime and food was excellent. Small-ish portion sizes but every bite a gem.

Surly service, and very slow to bring drinks. Prices do not reflect that it is only a better than usual pub restaurant. It's at least 20% more expensive than it is worth, considering many of the other options in the area for a similar price.

There were only four tables taken at lunch..and we were all placed close together..bizarre..though the window view was OK. Meant the waiting staff were at the other end of the room..and were not looking ..so getting some mustard was quite difficult..but when it arrived was good. Doubt that I will rush back..though may go in the pub where the staff were attentive and the beer was good..and the fish and chips looked excellent!.Unfortunately the gala pie was off yesterday..which was a reason I chose the venue. The menu was interesting..but the overall experience was underwhelmiing.

Food was outstanding (the whipped cod’s roe was especially good), great drinks too, including a top pint of Guinness and the staff were brilliant and helpful

Great space upstairs and definitely a cut above typical pub fare. Fantastic food and drink.

Excellent gastro pub food just off Oxford street. Had friends in town from Singapore. They were impressed and they know their food.
