The Bank is Bude’s resident cornish tapas bar set alongside the tranquil surroundings of the River Neet in North Cornwall.

We pride ourselves on our relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, providing the perfect accompaniment to food made for interaction and sharing. The atmosphere is often described as electric and welcoming to all who dine with us. The Bank is a truly unique dining experience with the quality of food and service at the forefront of everything we do.

Great food, great service, love the outside private pods. One of the best places to eat in Bude. I’ll be returning to enjoy more food soon

Lovely meal and ambiance in the Bank, staff attentive, service quick and little pod was a nice touch. Will be back again, lucky to have this local tapas on the door step.

Super evening celebrating our daughter’s birthday. Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived but we were given a vacant outside table to wait and gave our drinks order there. Very attentive staff and the food was first class. We probably over-ordered but we polished everything off. The calamari was sensational as was the chicken in ginger and chilli. Everything was delicious. And the staff brought out a pudding with a candle and sang Happy Birthday to my daughter. First class!!

One of our favourite places to eat as a family when we’re in the area. Once again, we received a warm welcome (including the dog!) excellent service and really delicious food. We ordered 8 plates of tapas plus 2 potato sides for four and there was ample food. The staff are lovely here, the food was served really quickly and there’s a great choice for everyone.

Despite very good reviews on google/trip advisor, unfortunately the food was not good at all. Very obviously not prepared from fresh. A number of dishes were microwaved and still cold in the middle. The tiger prawns which were nearly £15 were very mushy and clearly not fresh. The mussels, which were also pricey, were rubbery and came in a sauce that congealed like a cup-a-soup - not a freshly made sauce or fresh mussels as you’d expect from a tapas restaurant. Unfortunately one of the worst meals we’ve had and I would advise anyone to steer clear. The staff were nice and apologised, they knocked off one of the dishes and 10% off the rest of the meal. Sorry to be a man-Karen, normally one to chalk it up to experience and move on but £80+ for barely edible food is not acceptable…

We will investigate your complaint with our management team to be able to come back to you fully as we would always hope to capture any dishes not to a guests liking to cook fresh again or offer an alternative if made aware whilst with us. If this has not been offered to you upon making your unhappiness known, our sincerest apologies however, we would like to reassure you our seafood is delivered fresh to us each morning from our local fisheries, we then cook all seafood fresh to order and do not have a microwave in our kitchen at all. We will come back to you ASAP upon speaking with the team however, in the meantime please do feel free to contact us directly. Thank you.

We have to come here every time we visit Bude, normally 2/3 times a year. The whole family love the food and atmosphere (including the dog) and the service is always excellent! Very friendly and extremely attentive staff. Can’t be beaten!

Another gorgeous meal at this lovely place. Our favourite spot! We travel over 40 minutes for this wonderful place! The food is always delicious and accompanied by friendly and helpful staff. We enjoy the dining pods outside which make you feel like you’re the only ones in the restaurant. Despite it always being so busy, there is never a wait for food or service. I am gluten free myself and practically the whole menu caters for this and it is all devine! So many options! The drinks menu is also full of lots of options! The cocktails are a real treat! Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough! The food the staff the location- amazing and thank you for a great visit once again! 😊
