The Bank is Bude’s resident cornish tapas bar set alongside the tranquil surroundings of the River Neet in North Cornwall.

We pride ourselves on our relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, providing the perfect accompaniment to food made for interaction and sharing. The atmosphere is often described as electric and welcoming to all who dine with us. Was recommended to eat at this place by someone we met in the pub, we took them at their word & were very pleased we did ! Excellent choice of food & something for all tastes. The staff were helpful & provided good service at the table. Would visit again when next in Bude.

Delicious food, and we loved the private dining pod. It was made clear to us that we had the reservation for 90 minutes, but there was a long wait on some of the food coming out. We felt a bit rushed at the end of our mains, as we were chewing our last mouthfuls when the waiter came in and said we would need to vacate the pod and move to a different table for our dessert. It would have been nice if there was a bit more flexibility with the booking.

Lovely staff. My dog really liked his evening with a comfy bed water and treats. I had a llovely birthday meal and will be back

Great food, great service, love the outside private pods. One of the best places to eat in Bude. I’ll be returning to enjoy more food soon

This was our second visit. The first was several years ago. Personally I thought the food was strictly average, and very expensive. Good portion sizes but definitively more expensive that needs to be. The quality wasn't as good as we remembered and again didn't justify the high price. I'm happy to pay this kind of money for a meal but not for this AVERAGE quality. The paella was very stodgy, the calamari was extremely chewy (overcooked). The meat balls were quite tough. The chicken wings were very nice. But the beer selection was very limited, only one Cornish Ale! I cant see me returning in a hurry, unless the prices dropped by at least 15%.

Hi David, Many thanks for your recent visit although we are sorry to hear not everything was to your liking. We hope to expand our bar & cellar soon however, at present, it is only possible for us to offer a limited selection of products. Proper Job is a popular, locally brewed ale which we have chosen to support and hope to be able to support more local breweries in the near future. The manager on duty during your visit cannot recall any issues raised at the time regarding your tapas, if every unhappy with a dish, our chefs are more than happy to cook a completely fresh portion or an entirely new dish for you to try.
