The Bamboo Club is a one-of-a-kind neighborhood restaurant & Tiki bar located in Long Beach, CA. The Bamboo Club serves a mix of both modern and classic century-old Tiki cocktails, alongside the weekend brunch, daily lunch and dinner, and late night menus featuring Polynesian-inspired and Asian-style dishes. With an interior designed by award-winning Bamboo Ben Bassham, The Bamboo Club reflects the laid-back sensibilities of tropical Tiki culture while welcoming one and all with extensive booth and bar seating, outdoor tented seating, and a private patio to escape from the everyday. While the concept maintains the Tiki culture at heart, it turns into a lively watering hole for Long Beach music fans after dinner hours, when local live musical performers and vinyl DJs take the stage and the crowd jams out to everything the local music scene has to offer. The place was great. Food was tasty. Drinks were hit or miss. Our server had a weird attitude but we didn’t let that dampen our celebration

We had reservations and we had to be moved because a band came in which is was fine but what was the point of seating us there if we had to be moved anyway? And then we get moved to the bar and have to close out with the waitress and start a new tab at the bar, just seemed like poor planning

We went on a Sunday night thinking we'd have the place to ourselves, but it was busy & had a DJ going strong.

Drinks are excellent. Food could be better. Our dishes were obviously sitting out for a LONG time before our waitress delivered them. Food that should have been hot was cold to lukewarm. The fried onions on top of the mac salad used to be fresh and crunchy when we started coming here last year, but for the last several months, it’s been stale and chewy. We’ve been coming here every Friday but we’re going to give it a few more chances before moving on.

It was great we went for Father’s Day. We took our kids with us. They loved the food. They loved the ambience and we made sure to get out of there before 8 o’clock. Our server was excellent very attentive. I don’t know why there’s quite a few reviews on here that the food is not that great the food was great we had we really liked it.

Enjoyed this new to me venue. The Thai brine chicken sandwich with slaw was tasty. The loco loco was way too salty (according to hubby). Drinks seemed to be a generous pour and the prices pretty reasonable. Loved the era of music playing when we got there (80’s). Service declined at our booth as the bar filled up (not enough service folks on hand it seems). Took a very long time for my hubby’s second drink to arrive (like 15 minutes)- like it was forgotten.
