The Bamboo Club is a one-of-a-kind neighborhood restaurant & Tiki bar located in Long Beach, CA. The Bamboo Club serves a mix of both modern and classic century-old Tiki cocktails, alongside the weekend brunch, daily lunch and dinner, and late night menus featuring Polynesian-inspired and Asian-style dishes. With an interior designed by award-winning Bamboo Ben Bassham, The Bamboo Club reflects the laid-back sensibilities of tropical Tiki culture while welcoming one and all with extensive booth and bar seating, outdoor tented seating, and a private patio to escape from the everyday. While the concept maintains the Tiki culture at heart, it turns into a lively watering hole for Long Beach music fans after dinner hours, when local live musical performers and vinyl DJs take the stage and the crowd jams out to everything the local music scene has to offer. Drinks are excellent. Food could be better. Our dishes were obviously sitting out for a LONG time before our waitress delivered them. Food that should have been hot was cold to lukewarm. The fried onions on top of the mac salad used to be fresh and crunchy when we started coming here last year, but for the last several months, it’s been stale and chewy. We’ve been coming here every Friday but we’re going to give it a few more chances before moving on.

It was great we went for Father’s Day. We took our kids with us. They loved the food. They loved the ambience and we made sure to get out of there before 8 o’clock. Our server was excellent very attentive. I don’t know why there’s quite a few reviews on here that the food is not that great the food was great we had we really liked it.

Enjoyed this new to me venue. The Thai brine chicken sandwich with slaw was tasty. The loco loco was way too salty (according to hubby). Drinks seemed to be a generous pour and the prices pretty reasonable. Loved the era of music playing when we got there (80’s). Service declined at our booth as the bar filled up (not enough service folks on hand it seems). Took a very long time for my hubby’s second drink to arrive (like 15 minutes)- like it was forgotten.

Friendly staff. Good drinks. Fun atmosphere. We’re in our 60s. Worried that it would be too loud/young for us. Our reservation was at 7:00 on a Saturday evening. We were done before it got too crowded/loud. Surprisingly, the food was super good. Our party of four shared spaghetti squash Pad Thai, Thai crunch salad, bamboo crispy wings, and fried chicken sandwich. All were expertly seasoned, fresh and delicious. Prices were extremely reasonable. Will definitely be back.

There was a musician playing hawaiian music when we arrived just before 2p, which was nice, but he stopped playing at 2p even though brunch was until 3p. So that was a bummer. We definitely won't eat brunch here again. It was our first time here and we came to try some hawaiian style appetizers, but brunch was the only menu available on the weekend until 3pm. They don't know how to properly cook eggs. I requested over-medium with my dish and they came out with broken yolks, browned and fried hard. They offered to redo them, but they prepared them exactly the same way the 2nd time. They had no trouble charging me the full amount though. We got a side of the Mac salad, it was ok if you like it sweet. The cocktails were good, but it took 10-15 minutes to get one of the drinks. We considered ordering from the regular menu at 3p but we were too disappointed to stay any longer or give them any more business.
