The Ballard Cut is a farm-to-table restaurant and whisk(e)y bar specializing in local and seasonal ingredients. Our 1200+ bottle whiskey list ranges from Japanese and Scotch single malts to American bourbons and ryes. The collection is curated to include contemporary and affordable bottles as well as rare and antique vintages. Enjoy a scratch cocktail on our patio as you take in the energetic Ballard nightlife; share a bottle of wine and a tomahawk steak with friends and family; or take a trip around the world with a custom whisk(e)y flight built by our passionate and experienced staff.

Helmed by owner Tommy Patrick and chef Rachael Peebles, The Ballard Cut is the culmination of decades of hard work and dedication in the restaurant industry. We sincerely hope you enjoy your dining experience.

    There is only street parking for the restaurant. We had a reservation but the host took quite a while to seat the people in front of us and then us. There appeared to only be 2 wait Staff around attending to the whole restaurant. We inquired the Market Price Tomahawk steak which was $230. We decided not to order that. We ordered the tomahawk pork chop and it wasn't very special, but it was cooked perfectly and was juicy. The seasoning was very light. The crab tagliatelle hardly had any crab, and the pepper was so over powering that was all you could really taste. The presentation of the food looked beautiful. The taste was not so much. The cocktails were delicious. Our waiter hardly came to check on us. Only twice during our whole dinner. However he was friendly. Overall, the ambiance was beautiful, come in here for a cocktail. I would skip the food. Don't forget to get a reservation.

    The food was amazing highly recommend the tomahawk pork chop. So many whisky selections. The flights are def worth a try if you want to be able to try a few different pours. Will definitely come back!

    Amazing service and great food/drinks. Nice vibe and comfortable seating. Worth visiting for sure!

    The portion sizes are preposterously large and our waitress failed to warn us we were over-ordering. Muscles we the best though…

    Whiskey flight tasting by Eric was fantastic. Regardless of your knowledge/experience he’ll take you on a hella journey.

    I went there to celebrate my birthday with my family. It was our first time there and didn’t know what to expect. We made reservations and were seated as soon as we arrived. We ordered the tomahawk steak to share and it was more than enough. It came with lots of potatoes and the steak was perfectly cooked. Yum yum. Highly recommended.

    One of the best meals we've ever had both in Seattle and in general! Everything we had was amazing from appetize, to drinks, to dinner, and dessert. The service was top notch, personable, and incredibly thoughtful. Brought my partner here for his birthday dinner because he's wanted to try more Japanese whiskey and being able to consult with their expert and have a custom flight built around his tastes was more than I ever could've expected. Might be our favorite restaurant in Seattle now!
